I've been coming to Café Baristello on Jarry for a while now, & it's easily one of my favorite coffee spots in the area. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, with just the right balance between cozy & lively. Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee or sitting down to work or catch up with someone, it's always a great vibe.
The coffee is consistently excellent-rich, smooth, & clearly made with care. You can tell the baristas know what they're doing. I've tried a few different drinks over time, & they've all been spot on. Their pastries & light bites are also fresh & really good, especially considering the very reasonable prices.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, & remember regulars, which adds a really personal touch. It never feels rushed or impersonal, even when it's busy.
Overall, Café Baristello is the kind of neighborhood café you hope to find-great coffee, fair prices, & a team that clearly cares about what they do. Highly recommend to anyone nearby.
A quaint little spot tucked into one of my favorite neighborhoods (Villeray, Montréal). Great coffee & delicious sandwiches that deliver a small burst of joy with every bite. Today's hunger-induced pit stop turned a cold winter day into something warmer & brighter.
Sandwich was good, but was missing most of its ingredients. I ordered the salami focaccia, & neither the roquette nor the black olive tappenade were there. Same for the caramelized onion. Coffee was pretty decent though
Baristello makes the best coffee in town!
The beans purchased from Baristello is of highest quality & will make step up your morning espresso game!
Baristello also offers a limited selection of dessert but each one of them is deliicioo!!
The men who were taking the order & serving it, I would personally say that they were too kind & perfect gentlemen. They have mastered the customer service industry. Every customer in this cafe was pleased talking to them. & coming to the coffee I would rate top star & the chocolate burfi is what I would call it was too good. I will surely visit again if I come back to Montreal.

Best latte I've had in a very long time! So rich & smooth! The cafe has such a welcoming energy & the service was super friendly! If you're walking through Villeray in need of a good coffee stop in! A plus is they sell a variety of Italian good so snag a coffee & a bag of pasta to cook later :)
Quaint little neighborhood cafe, popular with locals. Serves great coffee, sandwiches, & croissants with friendly service. The warm croissants are the best!
Calm atmosphere with great music. Fresh & delicious sandwiches with a good slice of pizza. Coffee was balanced & well prepared. Not much selection but what was offered was in good portion with good ingredients. A cute little stop if you happen to be around!
I was sad that they didn't offer ice lattes anymore or only had honey for syrup options - however they are Italian & were really nice & I would def' go back to try out the food next time rather than the coffee tbh. I am bias tho cuz I love evetything Italian.
