Last Saturday, I experienced a very discouraging, embarrassing, & extremely uncomfortable situation.
Two customers decided to take the seat of a friend of mine who had been there for several hours. She was sitting at the bar, & they used the excuse of buying a drink to take her seat. They then started laughing at her, mocking her, & treating her disrespectfully. I honestly don't know whether it was xenophobia or something else, but the situation was extremely unpleasant.
The bartender then decided to ask my friends & me to leave the bar. The security woman, who was extremely rude, aggressive, unprofessional, & unwilling to de-escalate the situation, even pushed one of my friends while forcing him out of the bar.
I don't know whether employees there are allowed to mistreat customers, drink alcohol, or become intoxicated or use drugs alongside customers, but that was certainly the impression the situation gave us.
Terrible bar. I had been there several times before, but I will not be going back. I certainly cannot recommend this place, & I intend to share my experience publicly because it is unacceptable that, in a city as open & diverse as this one, customers can be treated this way & concerns about possible xenophobic behavior are handled so poorly.

The bartender was waiting for the two of us to clear our chairs... he laughed & insulted me for no reason. & the security guard was awful & disrespectful... & someone pushed me, another waiter... what if we check the clarifications & see what happened? Can we do that? Are they free of blame?

Would've given zero but they were highly racist towards my partner that waited for over 20mins at the bar for a drink while the bartender in the red bralette on 1st august, 2026, kept serving others before him & spoke rudely. Horrible end to the night. Wouldn't go here again.

Le barman a fait sortir des amis juste parce que des clients irrespectueux lui ont payé des shooters. Totalement inacceptable !! J'étais un client régulier l'année dernière mais je suis vraiment déçu du staff de soirée cette année. Grand manque de professionnalisme d'un barman en particulier. Très décevant

Ce petit bar est ouvert depuis quelques années, je crois, & ça nous a pris un certain temps avant d'y entrer. Après y être allés à quelques reprises, nous pouvons dire que le personnel est vraiment sympathique. L'endroit devient très achalandé, mais l'équipe semble bien gérer le rythme sans se laisser dépasser. L'ambiance est agréable & on y passe toujours un bon moment. Ne vous laissez pas intimider par l'apparence de l'endroit : c'est en fait un bar très accueillant.
Une belle addition au Village gai.

Honestly TRASH service. There were two people behind the bar, one appeared to be training, yet no one offered water or even acknowledged me properly. I ordered a drink, & as soon as it was served, they immediately cashed me out, which made me feel like they didn't want me there or assumed I wasn't going to pay. Is that normal? This happened Friday July 24 @5pm

I've never felt so unwelcome at a bar before. The overall experience felt dismissive & uninviting. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you expect friendly or attentive service.

UPDATE: I know what cash & carry is. Your response completely missed the point. The issue wasn't your business model-it was the dismissive service & the assumption that I wasn't staying. Had anyone simply asked whether I wanted to keep my tab open, I would have stayed for more drinks & tipped generously. Instead, assumptions were made. Thanks for confirming customer feedback isn't taken seriously 👍

Comme d'habitude, les drinks étaient impeccable !

Le service était un solide 10/10. Nous avons eu la chance de tomber sur Justin, un serveur drôle, professionnel & charismatique. Il nous a conseillés les meilleurs drinks du menu.

Ça fait du bien de voir du staff à l'image de ce beau bar. Je recommande l'endroit à tous!

One of the friendliest bartenders I've ever met. Awesome little place, I wish we were hungry because the food menu looks great. All of the drinks were perfect

The bartender literally canceled the payment when I clicked on No tip (No Mercy) & put it again saying you can't buy without tipping & I did trip (again)!! It's so rude never again to this place I did tip on previous drinks but you can't force me to tip on all of them! This's not only rude it's illegal.

Malheureusement un barmais à gaché mon expérience. Dommage quil a aucune supervision au bar, les employés font ce quils veulent avec les clients de leur choix...
Le service à la clientèle fait toute la différence dans une place.....
Allez ailleurs si vous voulez êtres traité avec un minimum de respect !
