Love the bathrooms, they have a very pleasant & civilized locking mechanism. The nicest I've seen in the business to date. Our friend couldn't figure it out, but she's French so that's OK.

I didn't realize how small it was until I got in, but I really liked the atmosphere & music. I liked it enough to wait in line for a good while, didn't even care about the cocktails, the music was great both times I went. The cocktails themselves are really good. This was fun to go alone, I think even better with a group that appreciates good music.

This is a lively cocktail bar in Chinatown. We had the miso juicy - a sweet salty blend of watermelon & caramel - & the espresso martini - it comes with delicious coconut crackers & tastes like a caffeinated, alcoholic slushie. Our bartender, Jess, was amazing & the atmosphere was very fun. I'd definitely recommend this place.

4e visite & certainement pas la dernière! Staff super gentil & qui connaissent très bien leur menu. L'endroit est magnifique & la musique n'est pas trop forte donc parfait pour jaser en dégustant les meilleurs cocktails de Montréal!

I can't tell you how engaging & thoughtful the service is at Le Mal Nécessaire, but it's as good as the cocktails. The drinks are well thought out, fun, & delicious! The atmosphere is intimate & expressive. I will always recommend it to anyone who loves a fantastic cocktail & a speakeasy vibe. It's a special place!
