The interior design of the bar is amazing & ambiance is fantastic. Service, just not good at all. You wait outside for a spot, then when you get inside realize it's not even full but they had you wait outside to make it appear it's a waitlist only. Inside, the waiters & bartenders are chaotic. 30 minutes to get first drink when other patrons that arrived after us get theirs. & then try to pay the bill & no one is around (waitress disappeared). It could be a lot better place if they got more attentive staff.
A very cool place in downtown Montreal. They don't serve any food only drinks. There are non alcoholic & alcoholic drinks, price is ranging from 17 to 20 dollars for each cocktail. Cocktails are very good 👍🏼
Nice spot for late night drinks! They have great drink options too!
Maybe the best cocktail bar in Montreal. Easily the best Negroni I've probably ever had. & the service & vibe is just as good as the drinks, thanks to Jess who made us feel at home & taken care of the entire time. Can't recommend enough🍹
If you're looking for the best cocktails in Montreal, you might have just found them here! All the ingredients are fresh, made from scratch including juices & syrups (except the liqueur of course). The Pina Fuego served inside an actual pineapple not only looks exotic, but also tastes delicious. If I didn't know how much alcohol was in it, I might have gulped it up as it was very yummy. My companion's Old Fashion surprised me with the range of flavors & depth of taste. The Coco Supremo was also delicious. I got a modified version as they were out of an ingredient. It was served in a carved out coconut which was pretty cool. The atmosphere is chick & the decor stylish. Beautiful ambiance completes the experience. I'd definitely choose this bar to impress a friend. I'm so lucky I chose this bar. The reviews were a little confusing & certainly don't do it justice. Most of the complains were actually about the service & not the drinks. Despite that, I'd highly recommend it. This is a rare gem in the heart of Montreal if not in Canada.
Perfect bar spot to finish the evening. We went fairly & upon exit we realized there was a bouncer & a waiting line so it's a popular spot. The bar seats were nice & the bartenders know exactly when to come by & check on you. We also saw them climb the alcohol shelves to grab a bottle for us. The drink menu is so much fun & we wanted to try every glass. The pina colada was slushy & stayed cold for almost an hour. Everything was on the expensive side so this is a once-in-a-while-only-for-special-occasions ba
Had a great experience at Bar Le Mal Necessaire for our first night in Montreal. The service from start to finish was 100%. Bouncer was great at keeping everyone informed as to how long the wait would be to enter & let us wait inside for 10 minutes before out seats were ready. We sat at the bar & was served by Jess & Jackson. Both gave exceptional service, giving delicious recommendations of what cocktails to try based on our preferences - Jackson's recommendation of the housemate coconut cream (I believe) added to the espresso martini slush was delicious. Would definitely return on another trip to Montreal.
I just left this cocktail bar with my sister, & I just have to say that this place is officially one of the highlights of our 29th birthday trip! The drinks were amazing, as well as the staff (met a fellow Georgian (US)), & funky, soulful music from a DJ who you can tell loves what he does. This place was an experience we won't forget! Will certainly be a return customer.
Waited about an hour in line before getting in. Location was smaller than I expected but still had a cozy vibe. Drinks/ shots would take a while to come out (~20 minutes per round) however considering all ingredients are made in house I did not mind the wait. Drinks were PHENOMENAL, especially the "Champagne Papi", which was why I came here. Bouncer & staff were very nice as well. Played house music in the background that gave the place a chill vibe. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to sit down & talk with friends for a couple hours.
