My favorite bar in Montreal. BEST BOURBON SOUR I HAVE EVER HAD!! Unique cocktails, delicious, & aesthetically pleasing. It is more expensive & worth it. As an American on the border, Montreal became my second home & I visit this bar EVERY TIME! Their new location is huge. I preferred the intimate setting of their old venue, but I'm happy for them that they expanded so much.View more

Hands down one of the best if not top cocktail bar I've been to! I have been here a few times now & the drinks are some of the most unique & best tasting drinks I have ever had! I love all the drinks I have tried here but I think the coco supremo is my favourite! 10/10 drinks, atmosphere & service! Bar Le Mal Nécessaire is a fun, unique, retro bar definitely worthy of a stop in Montréal. Although it's gained its popularity for the aptly named "Champagne Papi", the menu offers tons of diverse cocktails to choose from. The service was fantastic & the drinks were incredible, the Champagne Papi actually tasted incredible for what may be considered a "gimmicky drink". I would order it even if it did not have Drake's face on it.View more

Let us commence with the important aspect: the cocktails. I sampled 3 drinks, which were satisfactory but ultimately unremarkable. Some are presented in an extravagant manner, such as those served in coconuts; however, fail to elicit a sense of good taste that would compel a return visit. The pricing is rather steep given the quality offered. The garnishes were rather lackluster-I have certainly encountered superior presentations. As for the service, it was adequate but not exceptional; it could be described as merely neutral.View more

We only went for a few drinks before going out for dinner but what a great experience at the bar with the bartender, he was wonderful & engaging at explaining the various cocktails. We enjoyed the conversation about drinks & spirits. I would definitely go back at a time when it's not to busy to enjoy that time again. Truly an incredible experience where the unobtrusive service staff were there to help 💯. *An important point to make is that the music was lush, with rhythms curated & cued up by Silver Fvks. This was part of a monthly residency so keep an eye out for that DJ duo. After realizing that all my senses were going to be spoiled I got comfortable in a minimalist yet classy booth & went with a bold choice for my first beverage --- a "Big Fun in Little China".
