Nicely located close to the Maisonneuve Market, Bagatelle Bistro is a Bring Your Own Wine restaurant which offers tasty cuisine with Mediterranean accents. On a daily basis you will find that in addition to the à la carte menu, the chef prepares delicious dishes packed with fresh produce, which vary according to the seasons and market arrivals. Bagatelle Bistro is also very popular for brunch on weekends. During the summer, grab a spot on the lovely terrace to enjoy the breeze and the sun!
Bagatelle Bistro comes across as a welcoming neighborhood spot with warm, attentive service and generous portions of solid French bistro fare, with the BYOB option helping to keep value strong and a varied menu pleasing different tastes. Desserts and seafood such as octopus and duck are frequently highlighted, the atmosphere is lively yet cozy, and the on site terrace is a plus in good weather, though a few notes mention noise when crowded and occasional differences in dish execution. Accueil chaleureux , cuisine savoureuse, présentation soignée des plats, en bref j'ai vécu une expérience heureuse dans ce bistro d'un quartier populaire qui gagne à être connu. Un bémol : on n'y revient pas pour le café filtre très léger, lequel par ailleurs accompagne de généreux desserts aux goûts de revenez-y.

Sumptuous dishes, from the appetizers through main course & dessert, in a cozy atmosphere with very warm, friendly service. & the prices allow you to bring your most favorite elegant bottle of wine. Will be on my top Montreal restaurant list.
The service was efficient, friendly. The menu was appealing, & we opted for the Tasting Menu at 75.00, which included cream of carrot soup, Bagatelle de la mer (tuna tartare, octopus carpaccio, shrimp & scallop ceviche). Our main course was lobster ravioli in a saffron sauce, followed by two excellent desserts/ The portions were so generous that we were offered to bring some of the ravioli home. It's a BYOB bistro.
The food at this resto is consistently delicious! The service is equally exceptional. I had the veal & my husband had the duck & it was excellent. The entrees & desserts were just as yummy & beautifully presented. Thank you very much!

J'ai bien aimé, la petite attention de la serveuse, pour l'anniversaire de mon mari. Elle a mis une chandelle sur son dessert pour souligner son anniversaire.
Le repas était excellent.
Tout était excellent, sauf les desserts.ex: creme brûlée , aux bananes sans indication sur le menu. Bagatelle au chocolat avec très peu de poire.
Le service impeccable.
Nous avons passé une excellente soirée au Bistro Bagatelle! Un lundi soir, relativement peu occupé. Le menu dégustation est sans doute le meilleur rapport qualité-prix. L'assiette de la mer était savoureuse & d'une fraîcheur irréprochable. Le filet mignon cuit à la perfection. Tous les desserts choisis par la table étaient à la hauteur des attentes. Une très belle découverte où nous nous promettons de revenir!

On adore Bagatelle, mais chaque fois il y a un petit quelque chose, hier c'était une sous-cuisson de la bavette, un ingrédient manquant sur l'assiette de halloumi (pas de hummus), & malgré l'indication que nous devions quitter à 18h55 dans la réservation, j'ai attendu le dessert un bon 20 minutes avant de l'avoir à 18h50.
We have come to this BYOB restaurant on spécial occasions à few times per year & it never disapoints. To start off the Gaspacho soup was delicious, add à little picante & it would be perfect. The Chèvre chaud
aux figues fraîches & sirop d'érable sur pain sans gluten is à must sélection for entree à blend of flavors, rasberry, blueberry, salad warm goat cheese. The Raviolis de homard sauce au safran is also homemade & sauce is excellent. For the main course the Bavette de veau sauce au poivre was also excellent, much thicker délices of meat that I expected & cookie to perfection. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars but the one star removed was because of the dessert présentation on Bagatelle au chocolat poire pochée au porto & caramel, for being a french restaurant, à country which are famous for déserts I expected more of a poire belle helene look but it was à mixture in à mason jar which does not live up to à grande finale for the meal. Staff & ambiance is excellent. A must try restaurant & one of my top BYOB restaurants in Montréal.
Soirée exceptionnelle, même en temps de pandémie! Tout était parfait de l'accueil au dessert. Service impeccable par notre serveur, patient & toujours disponible quand on a eu une question. Les assiettes sont généreuses & on en ressort bien repus.
Un beau wow pour ce restaurant! Un menu diversifié pour tous les goûts. De l'entrée au dessert, tous les plats sont alléchants & bien présentés. Les yeux sont ravis & les papilles se réjouissent. Les plats sont succulents & l'agencement des saveurs est une réussite. Le service est courtois & cordial & l'atmosphère est agréable. Le rapport qualité-prix est très bien. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Le bistro Bagatelle est un plus dans mon carnet des bonnes adresses. Merci à toute l'équipe.
