We went to Au Festin de Babette for brunch on a Sunday, & it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. My friend had called ahead to reserve a table for two - definitely a good idea, as the place is quite popular.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Plateau. The ambiance is cozy & charming, & the service was genuinely warm & attentive. We both ordered the St-Denis brunch plate - a generous & beautifully presented dish with a waffle, poached egg, salad, gratin dauphinois, & a seasonal side (we had fresh fruit). It also came with a delicious chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was tasty, but the gratin dauphinois was the star of the show!
Partway through, a friend of ours called after finishing a workout - she was starving & wanted to join us. The staff was incredibly accommodating & quickly arranged for us to move to a table for three. They welcomed her with a smile & served her promptly, which we really appreciated.
We ended up staying & chatting for almost three hours, & at no point did we feel rushed or unwelcome. That kind of relaxed, gracious service is rare & made our brunch all the more enjoyable.

Le lieu est charmant mais très orienté feminin instagram. Pas de menu papier, c'est toujours dommage d' obliger les gens à utiliser leur téléphone pour ça, on y passe assez de temps dessus. Le personnel est très insistant pour prendre la formule brunch. La formule brunch devrait pouvoir proposer une alternative d'option pour les accompagnements. Présentement c'est unique pour tous les plats choisis, mousse au chocolat, soupe de champignons, gratin & salade classique. Un ensemble moyen.View more

Probablement le meilleur brunch de Montréal en toute modestie.
L'ambiance est au rendez vous & les serveurs sont souriants & très professionnels !
Le menu est variés & les plats sont idéalement présentés, servi à la bonne température.
Je vous recommande de réserver avant de venir car très prisé par la populace locale.
Les menus ne sont pas chers pour ce qu'ils sont & c'est vraiment étonnant !View more

My partner & I came here for breakfast a few weeks ago & were blown away by everything from the scalloped potatoes (Patates Dauphinois?), & the drinks! Hands down the best hot chocolate I've ever had, period (must try). The portions are ideal, & everything on the menu has been perfected. Can't wait to come again!View more
