We started going there in 1992, it was amazing food, friendly service, went an avarage three times a week as I lived practically next it. We got to know the family, used to have great talks after closing. As they say nothing last for ever. I went few times since the family is not running it, what can I say, huge disappointment, run by young arrarrogant not the least friendly, not even Vietnamese girls. Too bad, we used to love this place. By the way the food is still good as the kitchen is run by the same family members. The atmosphere is not good. Usually almost empty, few tables have customers, well there is reason for that. They better figure it out before it is too late.View more

Un des restaurants vietnamien familial les plus vieux de montréal, la grand mère, la mère, la filles , puis la nièce ... C'est une incroyable histoire de famille qui se retrouve dans vos assiettes, c'est frais, c'est délicieux & le service est incroyablement chaleureux. cela fait 14 ans que j'y retourne a chaque fois avec un grand plaisir. Personnellement quand un resto ne me plait pas je n'en parle pas, mais quand un restaurant vaut le déplacement , il faut le crier & le dire haut & fort... en plus d'etre bon , c'est très abordable environ 25-30$ par personne.... un coup coeur assuré si vous aimez la cuisine du monde. 1000 Mercis a toute l'équipe... You can't go wrong at Au 14. It's casual, friendly & the quality of the food for the price cannot be beat! Obviously the pho is the way to go! But give me a bowl of vermicelli & grilled pork any day! & get the spring rolls, regular or vegetarian are great. They don't fall apart! & that being said, it's the perfect spot for groups & lots of vegetarian options.View more

HIDDEN GEM! I honestly don’t know how this place doesn’t have a line up down the block. There are varies of specialties Vietnamese dishes they make that not a lot of restaurants do! It absolutely brings me back travelling north of Vietnam.
The rice wrap pork & the mini pancake cups with shrimp & pork are to do die for.

Depuis plus de 20 ans, nous allons dans ce petit restaurant vietnamien au coeur du Plateau, au coin du boulevard Saint-Laurent sur Prince-Arthur Ouest. Derrière sa vitrine rempli de feuillages, le temps s’est arrêté avec la même déco, mais les petits mains à la cuisine continuent à servir des repas succulents. C’est vraiment une bonne planque pour venir avec ses amis. Notre coup de foudre, le rouleau magique qui est un rouleau de printemps avec Nem à l’intérieur. Allez-y !
