Arouch Montreal Restaurant: Menu, Reviews & Reserve (2026)
ArmenianPizzaLebaneseSandwiches
Our history Arouch is a family business which opened its doors in 1978. The bakery, which initially sold lahmajoun pizzas exclusively, quickly carved out a reputation as being the best in town. Arouch has appeared in several newspaper and magazine articles, as well as on television and the Internet. The owners, the Dedeyan family, renovated the bakery by introducing several varieties of typical pizzas, modernizing the décor, opening a second bakery in Laval, a third downtown, and a fourth in Côte-des-Neiges. Today, Arouch serves you from its 4 locations and its products are sold in more than 50 independent supermarkets and specialty stores in Quebec such as Mourelatos and Marché PA.

Review Summary

At Arouch, reviewers consistently praise a warm welcome and standout lahmajoun, calling the place an OG for decades and a must visit for both dine in and takeout. The takeout counter earns frequent praise for efficiency and careful packaging, with many noting the option to buy in bulk and to freeze orders nicely. The menu is described as clear with a wide range of options, and the food is repeatedly called delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. The lahmajoun is noted to appear as flatbread or wrap depending on preparation, with some minor critique about toppings not always fully integrated when veggies are added, yet the flavor and texture are widely enjoyed. Service is described as friendly and helpful, and the interior is noted as clean and straightforward. While there are comments about wishing for more locations and a now closed downtown spot, overall Arouch is seen as a top choice for authentic Armenian flatbreads and reliable comfort food that travels well, with some suggesting a cider pairing.

Have you ever had one of those'Where have you been all my life?!' culinary & cultural moments? Arouch - & the MOST lovely Sona - left me with that feeling yesterday. First, it was the combination of lemon, mint, & zahtar - bright, savory, & deeply comforting all at once - that turned a simple meal into something quietly unforgettable.

But beyond the *incredible* dining experience, it was meeting & having the opportunity to speak with Sona that made the visit so beautifully special: her warmth, her stories, & her pride in Armenian culture made me feel both welcomed to Montreal & connected to a wider, generous global community.

As a recent Quebec transplant, I felt seen, exceptionally (!) well-fed, & genuinely at home, & I'm already looking forward to coming back, both for the lahmajoun & for another chance to say thank you to such a gracious ambassador of Armenian hospitality & Montreal's welcome. 💕🙏🏼
