Been a fan of the empanadas but recently was turned off by the hygiene of the cashier/waitress & cook. While waiting for my order, saw the cashier/waitress put croissants in the showcase with her bare hands. I found it odd because I just saw her cleaning up for the night to close but thought to myself, she might have washed her hands in between. After sometime, I then went to see if my order was ready & saw the cook in the kitchen on her phone leaning at the opening of the kitchen (the waitress was nowhere in sight). She then signalled me that the order was ready. I then asked to have a separate box for the order since I ordered 2 boxes. She then proceeded to transfer some empanadas to the new box with her bare hands without washing her hands after she was just touching her phone then proceeded to fiddling with the rest of the other empanadas in the other box to place them properly. I told her to stop fiddling with them. I know that this happens a lot with restaurants & it can be worse but just seeing it happen in front of my eyes just made me lose my appetite…that after spending almost $50 & waiting for about 30 mins. Makes me wonder how they are when they're preparing the food…
Like all Argentinians, we always look for our food & we found Anita Empanadas. I recommend them; the empanadas are delicious & the service is excellent.

Excellent introduction to empanadas! Food was delicious & staff was very patient & helpful. He explained the various choices, as we had a variety of dietary restrictions in our group. If I lived there, I would be a regular client.
The empanadas were amazing & very reasonably priced. There were several vegan options & accommodations were made for someone in our group with an onion allergy - the manager (owner?) of the restaurant was really nice. There were 6 of us & we had a great time. I highly recommend it!
C'est toujours délicieux & le service est légendaire. Les employés sont tellement gentils! Leur fierté du restaurant & de la culture Argentine est évidente.
