Allô mon Coco earns praise for tasty dishes, generous portions, and friendly, attentive service in a warm breakfast and brunch setting. Guests highlight fresh orange juice, good coffee, and gluten free options, with many noting the food is consistently delicious. While some comments mention higher prices and occasional slower service during busy times, the overall mood is one of reliable quality that makes diners want to return.
So I came here because I wanted a different experience. Something tells me this was very different. The colossal breakfast is not colossal. It's 3 eggs with the same amount of potatoes as any other plate & a choice of 2 meats I picked sausage & bacon. The sausage isn't breakfast sausage they are hotdogs deep fried to look like sausages. & the bacon was thick sliced.
The waitress seemed in a rush & the restaurant is half empty. & the potatoes my son had a root sticking out of it. Like one of those roots you see on your potatoes when you've left them in the bag too long & it start to rot. My meal 22.75+tax
My son's meal 20.50+tax
My best advice is to stay home & make breakfast it's much better & you don't have to pay 60$ for breakfast that doesn't deserve the price tag
The service was very good. The waitress Was friendly, professional, & attentive. The food was good, but pricing was Beyond ridiculous & into the realm of offensive. My son had Chocolate chip crêpes with an underwhelming amount of chocolate chips sprinkled on top As an Afterthought. These Crêpes cost $17.75 plus tax & other than the The two crêpes & a few chocolate chips, There was virtually nothing else! Not a sliver of fruit, A splash of sauce, or even a dollop of whipped cream. I explained to the waitress that I Didn't blame her of course & she explained to me that it was not even her Bosses fault, but a directive from the franchise. I'm sure she was trained & obligated to say that But I cannot help but to think that the boss could have put something else on the plate…. Anything… A little bit of sauce or whatever… It would only cost a few pennies. My breakfast Was a bacon & egg meal with all the extras & it was pricey as well, but I can somewhat understand that a little because of the amount of food. The two breakfasts combined though amounted to $64 & change ! I realize we're Living in a different time now where everything costs more, But this is just flat out gouging. A few dollars more & my son & I could've had prime rib at the keg! Unless the Owner wants to make this right, I won't be going back to allo Mon Coco & I don't recommend anyone else Go there either.
Ordered Benedict eggs & a traditional breakfast , eggs were tasteless , pancakes were undercooked & food in general was dull / mild with little to no taste.
Fortunately service was good. Place is clean & & good shape.
Inconsistent quality.
About two out of three visits, the food just isn't right - & this last one was the worst. The potatoes were undercooked & replaced with mashed potatoes that were also raw inside. The Mexican casserole had almost no seasoning, & the watermelon slice they gave us was spoiled.
The only consistent thing here is how inconsistent the quality is. When it's good, it's really good - but that's rare now. We both left half our breakfast uneaten. They took 20% off the bill, but the experience was already ruined.
We didn't even get to eat together - my girlfriend was done by the time my plate showed up. & to top it off, we were refused a booth because we were two people, only to see another couple seated there five minutes later.
A big NO for our future choices.

« Des oeufs en or pis du bonheur dans l'assiette! »

'Eggs-cellent & Coco-nuts in the Best Way Possible!'
If you haven't been to Allo Mon Coco LaSalle, you are missing out on a breakfast experience so good it should be illegal… but luckily, it's not (yet). The moment I walked in, the smell of fresh coffee & sizzling bacon gave me a warm hug. The staff? Friendlier than a Montréal grandma offering you another plate even though you're already full.
The eggs? Fluffier than a cloud that just went to the spa. The potatoes? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, like the perfect rom-com character. & the portions? Let's just say I had to roll myself out the door like a happy cinnamon bun.
They also don't judge you if you order enough food for'three people' but eat it all yourself. Hypothetically. Not that I did that. (I did.)
Verdict: If happiness could be served on a plate, it would look suspiciously like an Allo Mon Coco breakfast. 🥞🍳☕
I don't understand getting a cold breakfast. It's so infuriating.
The food is good...the service was, too...but when everything is cold it spoils everything.
Beautiful place, great food & service but some of the food prices seemed unusually high. I don't mind spending for a good meal but breakfast for 3 shouldn't cost $90
I've been going here for years. Mostly get the Guzzler since it's a good all-around breakfast. The portions have reduced over the years, but it's still filling since before I would always take a doggie bag home. Depending on the day or time, there might be a wait.
Amazing design. I love the big chandelier in the middle made out of mixing kitchen tools. Looks gorgeous & adds the spice to the interior. Delicious breakfast as years ago. Great place to start the day.
It was a great breakfast & our waitress was good. Suggestion would be to always bring milk to the table when coffee is ordered or at least ask if it's needed. The person I requested it from was not happy as she roughly gave us the bowl without a word.
It was busy & I'm a super patient person but don't be rude just because you are busy.
Other than that everything was good.
