We are in Montreal for the Fringe. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Aldea. I had the morue & my partner had the grilled sea bass. We thought the moules appetizer was so good we slurped the last of the broth with the Portuguese bread. The service was very friendly & answered our questions about the menu & choosing a wine. Ce restaurant est reconnu pour ses délicieux filet mignon, mais laissez-moi vous dire… ce qui m'a complètement jeté à terre, ce sont les moules! Sérieusement, les meilleures que j'ai mangées de ma vie - & je ne dis pas ça à la légère, j'en commande dans presque tous les restos qui en offrent.
Elles étaient parfaitement fraîches, savoureuses, bien assaisonnées, avec une sauce INCROYABLE!
Le tout accompagné d'un service incroyable, attentionné du début à la fin.
Si vous êtes amateur de moules, ne passez pas à côté de cet endroit. Une vraie révélation!

Aldea is one of the really authentic & delicious Portuguese places in Montreal. Had a sardine filet appetizer which was really yummy & a Monkfish rice that was divine. First time here for lunch but it's just as good as dinner here!Voir plus

Visited Montreal & had booked reservations at other iconic & can't miss restaurants. We very disappointed in our experiences. Instead we just randomly found ALDEA in the Plateau & it had a far superior experience, superior service & outstanding food with huge portions for reasonable pricing. Loved dinner so much we went back for lunch the next day! They were also nice enough to put on a Championship Football match for my husband. Will visit again & strongly recommend above other'iconic' restaurants with big PR machines.Voir plus
