Wonderful evening at Aikawa. The room has good distance between spaces allowing for normal conversation, not yelling to be heard over others. Our server was excellent, attentive to us without being overbearing. & everything she suggested was terrific - not only delicious but also beautiful.
I have eaten at this establishment for many many years. They have always been the top of the food chain for sushi in the west Island & further afar. Last night was no exception as the service was as awesome as the food was creatively fresh & tasty. Rene was a real pleasure to have serving our table with her wit & knowledge. The food was new for our two guests & they could not express how astonished they were at the quality & taste. They as will we shall return more & more often. Next visit we will be bringing others who have since heard of our guests gastronomic delight & are as such looking forward to experiencing this jewel of the West Island.
This was not our first visit & as usual, it was very good. We went to celebrate our son's graduation & from the moment we walked in, it was a very pleasant evening. The service was friendly & the food was great. Nice area restaurants the offers good value.
Aikawa est un excellent restaurant où on vous accueille avec le sourire. Le menu de sushis est varié & toujours frais. J'y trouve toujours des saveurs incroyables pour éblouir mon palais. Chaudement recommandé.
It's fine. Nothing spectacular in the sushi offering other than the half avocado in terms of flavour. Other places charge 16$ for the whole avocado, here it's 11$ for half. I guess to get the spectacular stuff, the chefs menu was the way yo go, but everything on that menu is 20$ea. Nuts.
entrées de beignets au crabe à carapace molle & pétoncles: convenable. Mais les rouleaux étaient mal faits (ils se brisaient facilement), peu de goût & texture. Sashimi au thon: coupé dans le mauvais sens, manquait de tendreté & texture désagréable. Service convenable. Si le système avait permis de donner 2 étoiles & demi, c'est ce que j'aurais accordé.
