I am part of the 3 Amigos birthday club & received an email reminding me to come by on my birthday. The fine print said order 25$ of food & you get a 12$ discount, a piece of cake & a hat. I made a reservation for one a few hours before & had it confirmed.
Upon arrival there was no one there to receive or ask if I had a reservation. Eventually I ended up at the bar which was OK, it really sticky & I could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bartender seemed nice but he didn't want to take my order so I ended up with a waiter who was servicing the other side of the restaurant. Had I known the bartender would be leaving early I would have just sat at a regular table.
I ordered the Tortilla Soup which I must say was better than I expected it to be. As for the Chicken Enchiladas the salad, rice & beans were fine. The chicken though was expired. I know because one time I cooked some expired chicken at home & it tasted the exact same. Everything else in the dish tasted fine so I just ate around the chicken.
The birthday cake was nice & they came out with the song on, plus a sizzler which was fun & I was able to share that experience with my distant family via live video call. That was a nice touch & made the experience better. There were no hats as mentioned in the advertisement.
At the end somehow the bill came up to 20.64 so I was charged for the wrong plate on top of that. Instead of just doing the proper discount they removed the 9.95 before tax soup from the bill & then charged 17.95 before tax for the Chicken Enchiladas which should have been 15.95. I made sure to bring that up & in the end at least they gave me back 2$ in cash so that was appreciated.
Anyways overall too much of a hassle for a birthday, & not worth the experience or expense. Lack of proper service, proper adhering to advertisement standards, slow service, just overall not a great experience. It did seem like some other tables were having a good time though & I was impressed with the soup so I'll give it 5 stars while the Chicken Enchiladas get 1 star.
As someone that has spent a lot of time in Mexico I just was not impressed. Lack of genuine service, improper billing.. & expired chicken leave me not wanting to come back. I have had better street food in Mexico City than I had at this 3 Amigos. I didn't have high expectations to begin with so not sure what to say... I would be willing to try a different plate in the future though if I ever come back.View more

Absolutely phenomenal experience at 3 Amigos in DDO, all thanks to the incomparable Varun! From the moment we sat, he greeted us with a warmth & enthusiasm that made us feel like royalty. His attention to detail is unmatched-every water refill was done before we even noticed it was low, & he somehow knew exactly when we needed more chips & salsa (before we even had to ask!).
Varun's knowledge of the menu is mind-blowing; he recommended the perfect dishes for each of us, & his timing was impeccable. We didn't even have to look at the menu for long-he effortlessly took care of every little request with a smile that could light up the room. His level of service is honestly beyond any expectation I've ever had-he is the gold standard for waiters everywhere.
But what truly sets Varun apart is his genuine care & warmth. He doesn't just take your order; he makes you feel like a part of the family. I'm convinced he's some sort of service wizard, able to anticipate every need before you even realize you have it. If you ever visit 3 Amigos, do yourself a favor & ask for Varun-you won't be disappointed. Best waiter EVER! 10/10 would come back just to experience his incredible service again.View more
Our family party of 9 had an absolutely amazing time at 3 Amigos.
We celebrated 3 birthdays on this day, & the staff were super accommodating for us.
Our waiter, Daclan, was a gem & a half! He went above & beyond to ensure that our 2 toddlers were looked after, coming back to check on us frequently enough, giving them a bit of whipped cream with their virgin daiquiris, making sure the kids & us were having a great time. He had great charm, & he was a very positive presence!
The food was amazing, I had the birria cordero taccos, always fresh & flavorful.
In times where going to a restaurant can cost an arm & a leg, & you barely get a meal to show for it, 3 Amigos delivers both on plate size, price, & freshness. Their drink menu is very fairly priced, & you get a big sized drink to boot!

I have been to many Mexican restaurants, easily one of the easiest choices in the West Island. The service from the beginning to the end did not vary in the people I spoke to (bar person, manager, bus person, & our waiter). Service was fast, food was fresh & I love their house spicy sauce. I made a last-minute reservation online for my daughter's 8th birthday dinner with my family. We were a large group of 12 adults & 4 children. I called to confirm, & everything was set. I chose the place mainly for the ambiance & because it can accommodate large groups without any issues. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food-their menu has everything from tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salads, pasta, pizza, desserts, & more. The portions are huge & very satisfying. Of course, I couldn't miss their cocktails; I usually go for a strawberry daiquiri. Super yummy! The service was excellent, & the timing of the food was perfectly in sync. Everyone had a very relaxed, happy vibe that night. Lastly, their signature churro cake for the birthday celebrant made it even more special & memorable for my daughter. The staff here are super kind. Our waiter was super discreet because i wanted to surprise my partner for his birthday here! The waiter also made a great recommendation on what to order. Very timely, friendly & the vibe was super calm but had good music! The food was warm & the rice is for sure my favourite! The meal portions ate quite big, & they offer nachos with salsa at the beginning for free which does take up stomach space. The decorating is appreciable & there is a lot of space here. Great for birthdays & family events! They gave my partner a sombrero & a churro with ice cream as his birthday dessert, it was a big hit. Love this place!View more
Churros with icecream was rock hard at latest visit. A big place, nice wall painting, parking available. Not at all like downtown, very bright, airy, high ceiling, lots of large windows. The food was nice, & recommend the'Flag' for a nice taste of three flavours. Good sized serving. Great for date, expensive for a budget family. We visited on a Saturday at noon. Excellent service, clean restaurant. Food is very good, with a generous portion to have some left overs to bring home👍 Chimichanga is wicked good. The beef burrito is meaty, & beef hard shell tacos are boss. My son said the Taco burger was life changing, & my wife took a bit & agreed. Unfortunately, I've never been to Mexico, so I can only use old El Paso as a baseline. The beef doesn't taste like OEP. Very different flavor profile, more on a sweet side, subtle cummin flavor. Goes very well with a nice hot salsa or sauce, unlike OEP, which is Spicer with a stronger cummin flavor, imo doesn't go with a good hot salsa or sauce. Will definitely visit again. Pricing is great, I would say about 20-25$ per person for a wicked good meal, which is not much more than McD now a days(family of 4 sets me back 80$ tax included on average). So, I went with my family to this place for Mother's Day, & I've got to say, the food was pretty awesome. But, our server was a whole other story. She was pretty rude & messed up a lot during our visit. One moment that really stuck out was when she snatched the menu from me while I was still browsing through it. Can you believe that? & as if that wasn't bad enough, she ended up spilling sauce on me! Not cool. We ordered sangria & she didn't even bring us cups, so we had to ask for them. Every time we needed something, she took forever to bring it to us. Thankfully, there was this super helpful guy named Decklan who was passing by. He noticed what was happening & saved the day by helping us out. He even took pictures for us when we needed a camera. Even though the food was delicious, the bad service really left a sour taste in our mouths. This is not the first time we go to the 3 amigos but this time was something different.. we came with our family on a Muslim holiday on Wednesday & the place was super crowded! We waited 25 minutes to get a place although we had a reservation .. we had some Fajitas & shrimp tacos.. fajitas were on specials $12 .. the beef was very good but the quantity was low which was understandable When we used to come we always ordered Pepsi or 7up for drinks because the waiters who served us never recommended anything, but this time we were served by a blue eyed waiter with a small beard Moe Very attentive & patient, always smiling.. always filling our waters, providing us with napkins for the kids, asking if we like the food .. & he recommended we have non-alcoholic cocktails.. he said that he will bring us something & we will like it & we definitely did! he brought something with strawberry & other drinks that were minty & one with coconut flavour which my wife adored plus he explained in detail what every drink contains Amazing service! Everything that was recommended by the waiter Moe was super! He recommended we get shrimp tacos & other chicken tacos which had pineapples but my family had some Fajitas which again was 3,4 pieces of beef only they should be more generous with it even if it is on offer After we left he even went out to give us the leftovers we packed & a bottle for my baby that we forgot, & we also got invited for Saturday he said there is going to be a DJAY We will definitely come back soonView more
I came to eat twice recently with family & friends. The atmosphere is very lovely & everyone is super sweet, respectable, & knowledgeable. Varun & Sally took care of my tables for the two nights I was there & I couldn't be happier with the service! I have to say, even the other staff members were friendly & helped as needed, which I really appreciated. The portions are also really great!
