If you're looking for the best Tex-mex, hearty, & flavourful Mexican spot in Montreal, this is it. They have possibly most hospitable & kind staff, complimentary delicious chips & salsa to start, & a menu to satisfy all tastes & curiosities.
I STRONGLY suggest the classic red sauce enchiladas, which come with a side salad, Mexican rice, & quite frankly the most delicious refried beans you'll ever have. I order extra beans every time I'm there, & indulge with some chips the provide along their hot sauce. Their servings on everything are indulgent, so you won't leave hungry.
Margaritas are a must - but, I ask for the regular glass with a double shot to balance out the sweetness of their margarita mix.
The churros are to die for - so do keep space for it.
All in all - genuinely - a delicious, great spot to enjoy complex Tex-Mex flavours. Without a doubt one of my favourite spots to get a hearty & flavourful meal, with great staff to match.
Loved my time at 3 amigos, mainly served by Ali (I think), who was so pleasant & helpful throughout my time there.
To eat I had complimentary tortilla chips & salsa & then for mains I had birria boeuf which was amazing, even without the jalapenos on top, it was a little spicy (I'm not a fan of spice) but packed full of beef & was just stunning. Also along with the mains was chips (fries), which were very crispy, which i loved. To drink I had a sans alcohol (virgin) margarita on the rocks which was lovely & then a Pepsi, which surprisingly came in a large glass. You won't leave 3 amigos feeling hungry as tho my meal looked a normal portion it was so filling & all the other dishes people were served were huge.
Cost $35.47 exc tip, well worth it.
Went here with my family, we got mango daiquiris, a mahito, a long Island iced tea, enchiladas, burrito bowl, chimichanga, & birria beef tacos. The food was amazing, I particularly really liked the mahito & the burrito bowl. We also got churros which were crispy but also very airy & fluffy inside. The salsa that came with the starting chips was also really good too. There was almost no wait for the food, it came out super fast. The music was also very nice. The women's bathroom however wasn't in great shape. There was pee all over most of the seats, & none of the stalls close.

Good atmosphere & extremely friendly & attentive staff, nice place for a meet up or a few drinks with a large menu for both food & drinks. However, sadly the food is very mid - microwaved rice & mains, no choice of spiciness/spices for salsa, no hot sauces etc. However large selection of choices & varied dishes.
I tried this place yesterday with a group of friends. It was a great dining experience, everybody was satisfied. They offer tortilla chips + salsa as starters ..then we ordered food which was tasty & rich in flavor.

Not my favourite 3 Amigos location but a good experience overall all. Similar to other locations in the sense that the service was friendly & attentive & the drinks were delicious & very generous, the food was standard but very good for the type of restaurant that it is (a chain type Tex-Mex restaurant with a lot of choices on the menu, large portions & full plates served with rice, beans & salad.)A fun little plus is that they bring complimentary chips & salsa to your table when you arrive to snack on while you make your selection & wait for your food. The food comes out fairly quickly even when the restaurant is very busy. I love 3 Amigos generally although this location doesn't feel as'immersive' in terms of the ambiance. You have to pay for parking but there is a large parking garage literally right next to the restaurant so it's easy to park near by. The overall experience is good & the drinks are really are amazing. I prefer the Sainte-Catherine location over this one for the slightly better ambiance but this one is still a great place to go if you're in old Montreal & craving standard Tex-Mex.
We had a lovely experience at this Mexican restaurant near the Montréal church. We ordered Las Fajitas Grilled Chicken & Chicken Wings, both delicious. They welcomed us with complimentary chips & salsa.
Our server, Sam, was exceptionally kind & attentive❤?. I mentioned it was my friend's birthday, & he made it special by bringing a birthday hat & a complimentary Tres Leches cake. It truly became a memory to cherish.

As soon as we sat down we were greeted with chips & salsa while we decided what to order. The food didn't take that long to arrive. Also Sam was very nice & let me sub sour cream for another dressing & also offered habanero sauce! The taste is very good & the portion size is good too. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area :)

We began with complimentary chips & salsa. The chips were fresh & crunchy, but the salsa lacked flavor & could have benefited from more seasoning & spice to elevate the dish.
For drinks, I had the Mambo Mojito ($11.95), which was refreshing & perfectly balanced, with a great mix of pomegranate, mango, & mint. My friend went with the Don Julio Margarita ($15.95), which was strong & smooth-ideal for those who enjoy a potent margarita with a bit of bite.
For the main course, we ordered the Smash Burger (double beef patty, lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, cheese, Ancho Chile aioli, served with fries). While decent, the burger didn't wow us. It could have used more sauce or some jalapenos for extra flavor. We also tried the Shrimp & Steak Fajitas, which, unfortunately, were not as flavorful as expected. To make matters worse, the waiter forgot to bring the tortillas, so by the time they arrived, the fajitas had cooled down. Although the waiter apologized multiple times for the oversight, the issue was compounded when dessert was offered as compensation, but we were still charged for the churros.
We ordered Churros with Nutella for dessert ($6.96), which were tasty but didn't stand out as anything extraordinary. They were a nice touch, but the experience left us feeling that the overall meal could have been more consistent.
Overall, 3 Amigos offers a lively, fun experience with excellent drinks & a few solid dishes, but it falls short in food consistency & service. The mistakes with the fajitas & the unaddressed issue of the dessert charge left something to be desired. It's a good spot for a casual meal, but there's definitely room for improvement in both food quality & service efficiency.
