Julie Kim is one of Canada's premier stand-up comedians, known for her sharp wit and engaging performances. Recently, Julie toured across North America, performing 40 theatre shows alongside Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah). She has graced the stage as a gala performer at the 2022 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and headlined four sold-out solo shows at Just for Laughs Toronto in 2023. Over the past decade, Julie has performed at major Canadian comedy festivals, including Just for Laughs Vancouver, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and Halifax Comedy Festival, with multiple televised appearances.

Julie's comedic talents have taken her worldwide, with her international tours including a debut at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She is also a regular on CBC's The Debaters. In 2023, Julie expanded her repertoire by debuting her solo storytelling show No One Special at both the Toronto Fringe Festival and Victoria Fringe Festival.

Beyond the stage, Julie is a Canadian Screen Award-winning writer and producer. Her writing credits include contributions to Kim's Convenience, Run the Burbs, and Still Standing. She has been a creative consultant and writer for the Winnipeg Comedy Festival for three consecutive years and was part of the writing team for the 2022 Just for Laughs Montreal festival. Julie also collaborated with Simu Liu (Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as a writer and producer for his hosting of the 2022 and 2023 Juno Awards, crafting the now-iconic "I am Canadian" monologue that went viral online.

In 2023, Julie was honored on VIBE's POWER 60 list of Inspiring Asian-Canadians of Influence, alongside notable figures like Lilly Singh, Andrew Phung, and Russell Peters.

Julie's mission is to spread happiness, bring people together, and inspire joy through laughter-and no amount of mom-shaming will stand in her way.
