Continuing the Mangeons local movement, the summer season will culminate with the Portes ouvertes Mangeons local, a unique and anticipated event to be held on Sunday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 50 farms from across Quebec will participate, including some that are not open to the public the rest of the year. It's a rare opportunity for these producers to welcome their fellow citizens and share their passion and expertise.
"Eat Local Open House is a unifying event. Yes, it involves interesting tours of farms with diverse productions, but above all, it's a time to discover stories and passions. To understand where our food comes from and to gain insight into the profession and reality of our producers," emphasizes Marie-Eve Janvier, spokesperson for the event.
