The TEMPÉO Dance and Music Festival is back for its 7th edition, bringing five nights of rhythm and celebration to downtown Montreal. From September 10th to 14th, the Esplanade at Place des Arts becomes an open-air dance floor filled with music, energy and cultural discovery.
Every evening at 6pm, free dance workshops will be led by professional artists, inviting everyone to join in, no matter their level. At 7pm, enjoy live performances from talented music groups, followed by sets from local DJs starting at 8:30pm. The program features an eclectic mix of funk, salsa, afro-pop, country and orient-pop.
Opening night will feature a performance by funk band The Brooks. All activities are free and no reservations are required.
A refreshment and food zone with ambient music will also be available to help you relax between dances. The event will once again be hosted by Philippe Fehmiu, returning for his fifth year.
This free cultural festival is the perfect way to kick off the fall season in Montreal.
