Event Details

Event Description

To mark spring break, the SDC Vieux-Montréal is inviting families, visitors and Montréalers to enjoy a rich and diverse program from February 28 to March 8, 2026. Culture, immersive experiences, gastronomy and outdoor activities come together to offer a warm and memorable stay in the heart of the historic district.

Enjoy the final winter installations

Spring break is the last opportunity to discover the winter installations at Station hivernale Saint-Paul Ouest and the winter rest areas set up throughout the neighbourhood, along with the illuminations that enhance the charm of Old Montréal during the colder months. These spaces invite visitors to relax and stroll in a bright and welcoming setting.

Cultural activities for the whole family

Several flagship institutions are offering special spring break programming.

The Site historique Marguerite-Bourgeoys, Château Ramezay, Pointe-à-Callière and the Centre des sciences de Montréal are presenting interactive and educational activities for children and their families. The immersive exhibition Sherlock Holmes: The Exhibition at Pointe-à-Callière will also be shown for the final time during this period.

A Nuit Blanche in the historic district

Many Old Montréal establishments are taking part in Nuit Blanche, offering late-night programming that showcases the district's creativity and cultural vibrancy in a unique atmosphere.

Immersive experiences, exhibitions and theatre

The Grand Quai du Port de Montréal and the Vieux-Port de Montréal offer immersive experiences that transport visitors into captivating worlds.

Art and theatre lovers can explore current exhibitions at the Centre PHI and Fonderie Darling, as well as the play Goblin:Macbeth presented at the Théâtre Centaur.

Winter flavours

Spring break also coincides with the 18th edition of Happening Gourmand, inviting visitors to enjoy table d'hôte menus at several Old Montréal restaurants, further establishing the district as a must-visit culinary destination during the winter season.

With such a varied program, Old Montréal once again confirms its appeal as a cultural and festive destination during spring break, offering a wide range of accessible activities for all in a unique heritage setting.
