It's easily Parc Ex's largest Indian restaurant, with huge round tables that fit up to 12 people in the main space and booths all around the perimeter. You can show up without reservations, but for larger groups, best to call just a little ahead. Also take advantage of the two-for-one beer nights; there's nothing like a pint of Kingfisher with a side of channa samosa.
Papito Restaurant

This restaurant in the Furco family it's the biggest yet; perfectly suited to both small and big gangs of friends who love absolutely succulent meats and flavour-packed veggie sides that definitely tend towards the rich and indulgent. It's all served in a family-dining style, with big shareable plates set in the middle of the table, so a jolly, happy, bonne franquette feel. Reservations are a must, and if you're a really large gang, they'll offer you a fixed menu to make it extra carefree.

You can show up without reservations any night of the week and take over however many tables your group requires. It's cosy for two and a great place for a big gang too.
Neotokyo

Step onto the set of Blade Runner and you'll instantly feel young-Harrison-Ford special. This Japanese eatery downtown is its own universe, both for the authentic izakaya flavours you'll experience and for the moody setting, which has party written all over it. Settle in with your small group, select a nice bottle of sake and say "here's to many more!" with a big bowl of ramen, some incredible mazemen (the carbonara one is nuts) and some impeccable gyoza.
La Piazza

The Sunday brunch buffet at La Piazza in the Sheraton Hotel in Laval is birthday heaven, especially considering birthday calories don't count. Make like a beast and feast on this unlimited cornucopia of fresh fruit, cheeses, breads, roast meats, fresh-made omelettes, salads and so much more, not to mention an impossible selection of desserts. Make it simple: try one of everything. The easy parking, personally-tailored food choices and sunny, celebratory vibe make it very family-friendly, and though the price of entry is near $100 a head, the quality makes it still reasonably good value.
