CAFÉCITO: IBÉRICOSSECRET SPANISH CAFÉ
Ad

A hidden gem in the Plateau is waiting to be discovered. Tucked away on the second floor above restaurant Ibéricos on Saint-Denis Street, Cafécito is a warm and bright Spanish café where guests can enjoy quality coffee, tapas, homemade desserts, and Iberian sandwiches, all without leaving Montreal.

Born from the acclaimed restaurant Ibéricos, voted Montreal's Best Spanish Restaurant by CultMTL readers and featured in TimeOut's 2025 list of the 50 Best Montreal Restaurants, Cafécito is a fast-casual café concept created by Chef Haissam Souki Tamayo and his partner Adriana Laporta. Guests order at the counter and settle into a cozy space to enjoy a bite, work, or simply relax.

On the menu: Spanish flan, Madrid-style churros with orange zest and chocolate sauce, cream-filled Catalan croissants, Iberian ham croquetas, patatas bravas, tortilla, and crusty sandwiches with Manchego cheese, chorizo, ham, or salchichón on Catalan crystal bread (pa de vidre) baked exclusively for Cafécito by Hof Kelsten.

The coffee is roasted locally by Caféine Pushers and Las Fincas, one of Canada's most respected coffee roasters. Spanish wines, Estrella beer, a sunny summer terrace, and a big screen for major Spanish soccer matches round out the experience.
