With a passion for restaurants and more than 30 years of experience in the food industry, Papa Elie and his son Ziad were able to create a unique family business: ZEEZ.
Ziad began his career at hospitality school and pursued a specialization in culinary arts at the Paul Bocuse Institute in France to later work in the most prestigious hotels and restaurants. Ziad is the creator of the ZEEZ menu and is responsible for quality assurance. Filled with energy and passion, you will always see him dedicated to providing the best customer service.
Papa Elie is a master of management and organization with an entrepreneurial career spanning more than 40 years. A pillar of the company, he always ensures that everything is in order and that the shift runs smoothly. In fact, you'll probably see him working on his computer at a ZEEZ table.
ZEEZ's mission is to create moments of pleasure through delicious burgers. Elie and Ziad's goal is not only to offer quality burgers using fresh, homemade ingredients, but also to make them accessible to Montrealers by offering affordable prices. 🧡
ZEEZ is widely praised for its smash burgers with juicy patties, crispy exteriors, and flavorful house sauces that make each bite memorable, with standout options like chili crisp and mushroom melt. The value is a recurring theme, thanks to affordable prices, generous portions, and a loyalty program plus student discounts that many reviewers appreciate. Free popcorn when waiting and a friendly, welcoming staff add to the experience, which many describe as cozy and casual despite the small space. While service is often praised, occasional delays during peak hours are noted, along with the compact seating that encourages takeout or outdoor options when weather allows. Vegetarian and vegan patties are appreciated by diners seeking plant-based choices, and the smashed potatoes and fries regularly receive praise for crunch and flavor. Overall, the spot is celebrated as a standout in Montreal for burgers, with repeat visits common as different menu items are explored and the vibe stays upbeat and family friendly.
Ça me semble une raison plutôt légitime.

Some of the best burgers we've ever had! Both the beef & chicken burgers were superb, fries crispy & perfect, quick service & at a great price. Lots of dipping sauce selection for fries. Only downsides were that the seating inside is limited/ not comfy & the music was super loud, but 5 stars overall & cannot wait to return!

ZEEZ's smash burgers burst with flavor. The perfectly seasoned patties are seared to perfection, creating a crispy crust that gives way to juicy, tender meat. Whether you opt for the classic burger or explore their specialty combinations, each bite is a taste explosion. ZEEZ knows how to elevate the burger experience.
As a New Yorker with a discerning palate for burgers, ZEEZ in Montreal truly impressed me. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of modern chic & cozy comfort. I tried the Chili Crisp Burger, & it was phenomenal. The patty was juicy & flavorful, topped with a delightful mix of fresh ingredients & a spicy kick from the chili crisp. The brioche bun held everything together perfectly. The house-made sauces & crispy truffle fries were the perfect accompaniments. The service was friendly & attentive, making the experience even better. ZEEZ is a must-visit for burger lovers. Whether you're a local or a fellow New Yorker, this place is sure to impress!

A must try smash burger in montreal for sure !!! Every ingredient is fresh, you can taste everything. The sauce goes very well with the burgers. It is also well seasoned which is so important that many burgerjoint miss out on. Overall nothing negative to say, you just have to come try it out & get hooked !! Also had the patate zeez which was veryy good, cripsyy outside texture with a fluffy interior, covered in their house sauce & some other ingredients The service is A+++, very attentive & kindly spoken making the experience even more better & calming. I wish nothing but the best to the owner, success comes to those who focuses on the details ;)
Their smash burgers live up to their name: SMASH BURGER 💥 you can see the crispiness on the edge of the patties . They made their right choice of lettuce, with a great touch of their special sauce. I tried all of their burgers & I can say their truffle mushroom burger was out of this world! For the price & quality, you are winning. What I appreciated the most is the consistency of their food. Twice already, one in the evening, another at noon, still the same burger as I first had. Wish I had pictures of them, I was so famished , i forgot to take them.... Another excuse to go back!
