Came from Ottawa to spend a day in Montreal. I went to Zam Zam with my son. We were approached by Mohammed the store owner who is really nice & so welcoming. The food was great, he makes the best beef chunks that I ever tasted in my life. Thank you brother Mohammed. We will definitely come back.

We found this hidden gem during our Montreal trip in July 2026. The lamb shank was incredibly tender, & the grilled chicken with rice was full of flavor. The food was excellent, & it was a pleasant surprise to meet the chef/owner, who is from Lahore, Pakistan. We enjoyed reminiscing about 90's era Samanabad, Lahore. I would definitely visit again the next time I'm in Montreal. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This modest spot serves delicious, authentic home-style food. It tastes just like a home-cooked meal from a mother!

We tried the lamb shank biryani, which was a unique & amazing combination. The rice was perfectly cooked-fluffy, not mushy or hard, & beautifully spiced. It left a wonderful aftertaste.
The lamb shank itself was incredibly juicy & tender.

The chef offered us a pastry, he said made daily for freshness & it truly was fresh & delicious.

I'd love to go back!😋
