Review Summary

Yakimono delivers great food and attentive service with fast timing, and the overall dining experience remains strong even as interior work leaves dine in on hold. Dining now takes place on the terrace patio, a setup that feels lovely in warmer weather, while the interior is being spruced up. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, with a well made Yaki sauce that enhances the meal. The staff come across as wonderful and genuinely welcoming, contributing to a very positive impression. The restaurant is dairy and nut free, widening accessibility for diners with dietary needs. The space is small and crowded, not ideal for sit down meals during construction, but recommendations remain high and many would return. Some reviewers even call it the best Kosher sushi.

A Fantastic Dining Experience at Yakimono

I recently visited Yakimono & was thoroughly impressed! The sushi was outstandingly fresh & flavorful, easily some of the best I've had. Paired with their well-made Yaki sauce, it made for a fantastic meal.
Currently, they're sprucing up their interior, so all dining is on their terrace/patio, which is so lovely now with warmer weather.
What really stood out was their staff - they are truly wonderful & make you feel incredibly welcome.
It's also great to know they are a dairy & nut-free establishment, making it accessible for more diners.
Highly recommend, would come again!
Go check them out!

What a pleasure it was to eat Yakimono sushi again! I'd eaten it several times when my Jewish managers had it delivered to the office, & I'd been thinking for a long time that I should order some for myself. The years have gone by & I've never forgotten those sushi! I'd always say to my husband, I've got to take you out for some kosher sushi from Yakimono! Today was Christmas Day, & my husband was sick, so I said: Today's the day. We don't want to cook or do anything. Yakimono's is open. Let's go! I called to make sure it would be open (Yakimono & I never have the same schedule, which is why it took so long for me to go back). The person on the phone was absolutely charming. I then quickly placed my order on their transactional site. Plenty of things to choose from! But, I chose the Imperial platter. I picked up my order. The girl on the phone gave it to me. Lovely as always. This sushi was a hit with my husband. He gave it 4.9/5 & I gave it more than 5/5. They are absolutely perfect! Well balanced, tasty, not too much rice, fresh, voluptuous. Not enough adjectives! We'll be back & try not to wait so many years! Happy Chanukah to all the Yakimono team! Keep up the good work!

My freind is a regular here so I decided to join her. We ordered the sushi boat, it was good but not really my style. It was set role but was heavy on sauces which i a am not an fan of. Next time i will chose the boat where with less sauce. The waitress was amazing! It is a kosher sushi restaurant.

My husband & I came here just because we were looking for dinner after an evening appointment in the area. We like sushi & were hungry. But this is not really a sushi restaurant, it's a kosher restaurant with vaguely Asian dishes. The only raw fish were salmon & tuna, we were surrounded by badly behaved children, the servers were overwhelmed, & the whole was overpriced.

This restaurant seems to be a community place, as many customers knew & greeted each other. That's fine, but for a Japanese restaurant, you should look elsewhere.
