Reviews describe Virevent as a standout neighborhood ice cream shop with top quality ingredients and creative twists. Many praise the wide variety of flavours, weekly specials, and the option for vegan sorbets. Service is often described as fast and friendly, even when lines form, with staff noted as attentive. Several comments mention good value and occasional price concerns, but most agree the flavours and textures justify it. A range of favorites such as pistachio, mango sticky rice, baklava and other unique blends are highlighted, and the rotating menu keeps visits exciting. A few reviewers note issues like a broken soft serve machine or limited vegan options, but these are rare. Overall, Virevent comes across as a beloved local gem with a family vibe that brings guests back for new discoveries each season.
Best ice cream in Montreal (somehow even better then iconoglace & kem coba). Weekly flavours have us coming back often. The cone pictured is Baklava/nectarine (so good). Worth the trek!

Long queue on a sunday night but I waited for about 15 minutes (quicker than I thought). The staff are working hard.
I picked Matcha & Pistachio ice cream. I can only recommend the pistachio.
English:
A delightful little gem on our street! The owner is warm, welcoming, & truly accommodating. The ice cream is top quality with a wide variety of flavours to choose from. She remembers me as'the motorcycle guy' & always manages to pack my sundae perfectly - even well past closing time. Truly remarkable service & a wonderful local experience.

Love this ice cream, might be the best in the province. Fancy unique flavours along with all the classics. I had vanilla chocolate swirl soft serve dipped in maple & I think I may have seen my ancestors. Can't wait to go back & try the other flavours.
I recently (April 28 2025) had their delicious wild blueberry sorbet (soft serve) & it was amazing; I believe its their flavor of the month. I paired the blueberry with their matcha latte (which was also plant based but served as scoops). The matcha latte was good but between the two I loved the blueberry, the matcha sorbet was light in flavor. Overall I highly recommend their plant based ice creams/sorbets.
In the past (April 2024) ive had their vegan vanilla bar dipped partially in dark chocolate & covered in matcha rice crisps (available for a limited time). The inside of the bar had strawberry & matcha filling which seems odd at first but tasted really good. The only thing I wish is that they had more plant-based Ice-creams.
For most of year, they will just have sorbets (Mango, coconut, etc) which are good . One day I really do hope that they will have a plant based vanilla soft serve. But just a heads up, they usually only have one vegan icecream flavor per week & quantities are limited (call before going). Good experience overall.
J'aime l'hiver, j'adore la neige, l'hiver est ma saison favorite, MAIS, elle serait encore meilleure avec Virevent ouvert :)
Merci pour a l'avance pour une autre saison pleine de saveurs!!!

I discovered this ice cream about a year ago & have been going consistently as it's a good ice cream shop in our neighbourhood & I enjoy to support local businesses & also Asian owned. Last weekend event left me bitter... We went around 8:30ish Sunday night. My brother & I both tasted two flavours each before picking up two medium sized ice cream cups. Usually, the cups are filled to the rim but this time, it was a smaller portion than usual. We didn't say anything & went to pay & get an extra spoon because I was sharing my ice cream with my husband who was waiting outside with our baby. The owner made a comment about us taking too much time, which we didn't & we had to fight to get an extra spoon. Despite the unusual service, we thanked her & left. We sat outside & the owner followed us to let us know that her spoons are 7¢each & we shouldn't have asked for another. Also she said that "asian clients usually taste a lot of flavours just to get a soft serve" which was not our case & also very judgmental & disrespectful of her to say that. Anyways, I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt & that perhaps, she was having a bad day, but this visit definitely left us with a sour taste.
Their artisanal ice-cream is amazing! My coups de coeur were the vietnamien coffee & passion fruit-tamarind sorbet! The owner & staff are very courteous & families were flowing into the parlour non stop! What a great discovery!
