Vieux Port Steakhouse is a restaurant that has been around for a while - I can see why. It's got that classic steakhouse decor - dark, warm, with wood accents. We came on a Wednesday evening & so it was pretty quiet. The restaurant has two floors so the customer capacity is quite large. They had a table d'hote special which included either a drink or entree & then your main course - there were around 5-6 to choose from. My colleague had the steak frites which was served with a sauce over the steak & quite a few fries. I had the filet mignon table d'hote with a Caesar salad. I upgraded the side mashed potatoes to a wild rice & added a mushroom sauce. We were both too full for dessert but their dessert menu looked quite good - & I'm sure they were ! Definitely recommend checking out this place if you're in the old port.

Had a very well presented dinner in old Montreal. The rustic atmosphere perfectly matches the cuisine. The service was top notch & the food to match. Steak was perfectly prepared to order. Accompaniments were carrots, broccoli, & mashed potatoes. I would definitely come back again & look forward to it.
Food & service was great. We arrived around 7pm & got the last table on the the main floor- it looked crowded, but after seating the atmosphere was pleasant.
Amaizing service. Our server, Joe entertained us with a few tricks up his sleeve. He was very entertaining & very nice.The food was immaculate. The atmosphere was incredible with a very good scenery around us.

We came in late they still took care of us the apps were 5 mins the mains were 10 the food was absolutely amazing & cooked to perfection & first time tried creme Brule & I'm addicted now
