Bon restaurant italien dans le Vieux Montréal. Nous avons mangé sur la terrasse. Bon service, prix correct compte tenu du site. Bon choix de vins aussi. Les portions sont très bien aussi.
Trattoria Gio is a very nice Italian spot in Old Port with very courteous staff & good food! I ordered the Caprese pizza & mojito & both tasted yum!! The mojito was a bit sour for my taste but the staff was able to accommodate my request & adjust it accordingly. Overall, good experience! 😊

L'emplacement est super, mais malheureusement c'est le seul point vraiment positif! La salade cesar est ok... la pizza correct.. les pâtes marinara à la saucisse italienne & rapini total déception! Les rapinis n'étaient simplement pas très présent dans l'assiette & la saucisse avait mauvais goût!
Delicious food & excellent atmosphere, but the service was very slow. The waiter was great, but it took a long time to get the food from the kitchen. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy either. It could have been an off night. I would try it again in the future.
Cute place. Kids had pizza. Parents each had lasagna & finished plates. I had the spaghetti Bolognese & was great! Espresso martini was goid & we had all desserts & kids enjoyed especially the chocolate cake!

The service took too long & we waited 40 min between starter & main dish. On the other hand, the service was extremely nice 👍. They were so kind with us & made us feel great with their behaviour & offers. Food was really tasty & we spent a great time. Atmosphere TOP. Thanks a lot!
So pretty much, the service was great with this one guy, ordered a linguini aglio olio with him & all that. But then the manager I think? Came up took over & then the service quality went down, the busboy had a better service than the manager. Frankly disappointed.
Long wait but I am assuming it's because of tourist season. The Burratta was delicious so I expected the same with the pasta. Wrong. This was the worst penne alla gigi I ever had. It was so liquidy, almost as if the water wasn't shaken off the pasta. My son's chicken alfredo on the other hand,was too dry. However the service was good. The waiter was very attentive. I have to give them that, the wait staff were wonderful.
Got a very nice service, we have been with a baby, & we got all of the attention, amazing servicr,food was wow,& we appreciate the atmosphere! Will come back for sure!
If you grew up with an emotional bond with Italian food &/or pasta is comfort food for you, this place is your go to spot. I don't have either relationship with these foods so it was just good spaghetti. The calamari was pretty good. The live music was fantastic so we chose the patio.
