The food was delicious & that's where the positivity ends. The service was abismal with us getting seated at a dirty table & not having a server even acknowledge us until we had been waiting at the table for 30 minutes. After we finished eating we waited for the check for 45 minutes & finally had to flag down the manager to get it for us. All the other tables around us had bad service & were also calling over the manager to try to place their order or get their check. It's a bummer because the food was good.
Very slow service. Food was all bland. Our order kept going to a different table. Out of all the great restaurants in Montreal, save your time & don't go here.
Service vraiment moyen, on a dû demander de l'eau 3 fois, le serveur était pas attentionné. Les drinks pas goûteux, calmar frit très moyen, pizza caprese sans sel ça goutait rien, au moins les pâtes étaient bonnes.
Food came fast & tasted great. The server was very accommodating & quick to help. The Ravioli was cooked nice & fit very well with the burrata. Overall it was an amazing experience.
We had a wonderful dinner. We enjoyed the bolognese, penne alla gigi & the chocolate cake. Our server, Pauline, was so friendly & attentive & helped provide an amazing experience!

Trattoria Gio offre une expérience culinaire somme toute correcte. La nourriture, bien que satisfaisante, ne se démarque pas particulièrement : les pâtes & les pizzas sont dans la moyenne, sans réelle surprise ni déception. Le service est lui aussi adéquat, ni exceptionnel ni problématique.
L'ambiance du restaurant est acceptable, mais manque un peu de chaleur ou de personnalité. Côté propreté, rien à redire - l'endroit est bien entretenu, ce qui est toujours apprécié.
Le seul véritable bémol demeure les prix, qui sont au-dessus de la moyenne pour ce type d'établissement, surtout compte tenu de la qualité offerte.
En résumé, Trattoria Gio est une option convenable si vous êtes dans le secteur, mais il existe des alternatives offrant un meilleur rapport qualité-prix.
GREAT dinner! Everyone was SO friendly. Our server Yanis was attentive & very kind. We ordered the bruschetta, spinach ravioli, & spaghetti bolognese. Everything was delicious. We would definitely return. (They also all spoke English & were very friendly towards us being American).
There were nine of us & every single one of us loved what we had. Yanis was an amazing & charming waiter❣? my daughter & I split the Fungi pizza & Caesar salad. It was more than we could eat. Beautiful ambience inside as well❣?🥰
The food was AMAZING! Our party of 9 tried pizza, ravioli, spaghetti, Bolognese, bruschetta & cocktails. Everything was amazing as well as our server, Yanis!

We were a group of 6. While having some issues withe order mix up with order but- the food did not disappoint. It was fresh & tasty. Chicken dish was exceptionally good. Pizza was also good. We had a mix up with the order but the establishment was sincerely apologetic & did care to make their customer happy by offering concessions. Would recommend.
Trattoria Gio deserves a special mention. The evening that we visited, there was a power outage. But we were adamant about having dinner here on our final night in Montreal & we have zero regrets! Everything we ordered - the pizza & the bolognese pasta - were amazing! The kitchen was running thru some issues due to the power outage but they still were able to accommodate our requests. We were too busy eating to take pictures, & we sure were happy campers with our Trattoria Gio experience!
Pauline was our server! She took over for someone else & made our entire time at the restaurant an incredible experience. She was insanely friendly, & took very good care of us & brought us everything we asked for in such a speedy efficient manner!

The outdoor seating is perfect for people watching. The pizza was great!
Tareryn was an exceptional waitress, even the second time we went saw us & stopped by our table wishing us well. The music was so good we didn't want to leave the establishment. 10/10 best place to eat
