Tong Por Restaurant previously in Montreal Chinatown and recently moved in Ville St-Laurent offers fine Chinese and Thai cuisine, specializing in Dim Sum, Tong Por duck, etc.. The restaurant is large and can accommodate up to 600 patrons. The decor is simple with a touch of China and Thailand.

I brought my family here to eat. We got the combo B for six people & had a delicious meal! Everything was very tasty, & the staff were very friendly. I would definitely come here again!
This is the real folks. Show up before 11:30 to get a table (& a parking spot!). Food is good & hot at the table. Cart service so you need to keep an eye out for your favs to fly by! We had a table for 5 & were not crowded or rushed. Service was impeccable & friendly. Will for sure be back. If I can find a parking spot :)
Phenomenal food & service. We had general Tao, frog's legs, chow mein & lemon chicken. All of it was delicious (the frog's legs were a little chewy but the veggies it came with were delicious) & the servers clearly love their jobs, all joking with us & making sure we get what we want. Would definitely recommend & go again!
Si vous cherchez de la cuisine authentique asiatique, c'est un bon restaurant. L'expérience Dim Sum le dimanche est une expérience intéressante entre amis. Le service est efficace & rapide. Cependant, le menu devient vite redondant car ce sont toujours les mêmes items qui reviennent au cours du repas. Aussi, j'ai trouvé questionnable de voir que des poissons morts étaient laissés dans l'aquarium. L'eau dans l'aquarium était aussi très floue. L'alarme de feu a aussi retentit pendant une heure sans qu'on sache trop pourquoi.

C'est un restaurant où je vais depuis que je suis toute petite. J'ai commencé à y aller quand ils étaient encore à China Town, c'est un de mes restaurant préférés. Toujours aussi bon!
I've had dinner here once before & ordered a couple days ago a huge takeout order for a Christmas lunch at work. The portions of food are excellent, especially for the price, youre getting more than your money's worth. The taste is great & the service is amazing. The only thing I can complain about is if you order the beef & broccoli, be ready to have a 4:1 Ratio of more broccoli. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place for some delicious Asian food that is fairly priced.
Vous cherchez un resto DIM SUM & de la cuisine authentique chinoise, vietnamienne cambogienne @ VSL, le resto Tong Por est un bon choix. Il est situe dans un centre d'achat tout pres du supermarche C&T qui est tres pratique lorsque vous faites votre epicerie avant ou apres un repas @ ce resto & si vous venez en voiture mais le stationnement n'est pas tres grand alors prevoyez arriver de bonheur. L'accueil & le service de l'equipe etait excellent. Le menu a plusieurs choix mais comme c'etait un evenement special communautaire, les organisateurs du comite ont choisi un menu special @ 8 services pour souligner le Solstice d'Hiver & Noel. Les portions etaient bien genereuses & plusieurs plats etaient delicieux. Je vous recommande fortement de commander leur fondue thailandaise TomYum aux fruits de mer au lait de coco & la salade homard style cambogienne, ohlala c'est so yummy yummy ...Au plaisir, Missy A!

This is simply a great place to hold informal, large, family lunches or dinners for an affordable price. Good, solid Chinese food, large portions, extensive menu, very child-friendly, good service. It's been around for ages & for a good reason. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
Tout est parfait, cependant, le prix est très élevé pour un brunch. Pour 4 adultes avec 6 petits plats de charriots = facture de 130.00 $ incluant taxes & pourboire.
Saturday evenings can be particularly crowded, with a bustling dining area filled with eager customers. Parking can be challenging, as the small lot is shared with the nearby C&T Supermarket & other stores, often leaving visitors searching for a spot. Despite this, the quality of food & lively ambiance make it worth the visit.
Let me by saying that this was one of my most favorite restaurants, would go there once a month, but the last 2 times was not the greatest. Went this week & for supper, hoping the food would be better then the last time we went. Unfortunately it was not, I would order the peanut butter dumplings as they are so delicious, to find pieces of pork fat which was never the case it would only be shrimp inside, the dough was not even cooked asked the waitress if they had a new chef as the food did not taste the same. The manager came over, & all he said was SO YOU ARE NOT HAVING THIS & JUST TOOK THE PLATES AWAY, THAT WE DID NOT LIKE(EXTREMELY RUDE). Even though he has seen us many times. It's unfortunate but I will not be going back. The waitress on the other hand was very apologetic, as this was not her fault. So sad but that was my last time. Management stop cutting corners on the food you used to serve, as it used to be extremely good.
