About Us
Sometime in the late Cretaceous period, give or take a few million years, I realized that I was different from other dinosaurs. Sure, I enjoyed the hunting and devouring of lesser dinosaurs, like any sensible Tyrannosaur would, but I was left feeling rather unfulfilled. Day-to-day living seemed awfully hum-drum, and after a while, being the most efficient predator around lost its meaning to me.
Depressed, I wandered. I found myself watching other dinosaurs (rather than simply eating them) and made a life-changing discovery upon meeting Nanny Gyokurosaurus Dinovert: tea. It would naturally take an herbivore to teach me the wisdom of tea, and I remain ever-grateful to her for showing me the way. Together we gathered other like-minded dinosaurs to share our very favourite recipes under a banner of truce and not-devouring one another.
That was how Thésaurus Tea began. Ever since, we have been on the hunt for fine teas from around the world. It is our mission to share this wonderful discovery with one and all.

Everything about this tea shop is awesome! It's got so much charm & a cozy welcoming atmosphere! The tea was blended perfectly, the pumpkin scone was delicious & their tex mex grilled cheese was so satisfying! The staff is extremely friendly & honestly, probably the nicest people on the planet 💚💙 Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to chill, do some work on your laptop or even come hangout with friends! A tout mes ami.e.s qui se cherchent un endroit silencieux avec un service chaleureux & humain, tu viens de trouver ta place! Je dirais que si tu es un peu écoeuré.e de cafés "boom boom" avec des markups de fou & de la grosse musique trendy, cet endroit est parfait. Ils ont un grands choix de thé d'excellentes qualités (pour les gens qui aiment le thé traditionnelle & les thés sucré). La propriétaire connais bien les thés & elle est très chaleureuse. Je dirais que c'est parfait pour les introverti qui ont besoin d'un peu de paix dans leurs vies. Il y à même un club de lecture! Venez soutenir une maison de thé "mom & pop" chaleureux & différent, sans le "touch" des investisseurs immobilier millionnaire ou des grosse groupe de restauration qui semblent remplir l'île de Montréal de plus en plus. If you are looking for something different from the usual unaffordable hip cafés with loud music, I would suggest this place. I love dinosaurs & tea... This place has both, I like finding the hidden Dino touches around the store. Prices are very reasonable, I would fight someone for their Earl Grey scones. I would suggest taking the tea of the day because it expands your knowledge of teas as well as the fact that it's a dollar less than picking one from their selection.View more

C'est toujours très agréable de passer un moment au Thésaurus Thérrarium, que ce soit pour une activité thématique ou pour du temps entre ami.e.s! Toute l'équipe est très chaleureuse & nous fait sentir bienvenu.e. La nourriture est toujours excellente, le sandwich aux concombres & la meringue sont mes préférés. Un super accueil, avec des conseils sur les thés pile poil pour les préférences de chacun. On a pris le "afternoon tea" avec nos trois enfants. L'ambiance était relaxante mais pas intimidante.
