THAILAND -- what comes to your mind when thinking about THAILAND? Is it the temple, the local market, the crazy nightlife, or the Thai smile?!
For me, it is PLAIN SIMPLE: THAI STREET FOOD! Just the ordinary comfort food next to the street - the smell of curries, the colourful dishes with perfect spices, and the wok skill of local vendors.
THAM.MA.DA, a Thai word used to describe something ordinary or simple, is a casual dining cuisine serving ordinary but authentic Thai street dishes. As well as Thai inspired drinks that will bring the “ordinary but extraordinary” vibes, the “same same, but different” food on the plate for you to EXPERIENCE.
Thammada shines with flavorful Thai cuisine made from fresh ingredients and bright, well balanced flavors. The menu covers favorites like Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Khao Soi, Massaman and green curry, with standout dishes such as green papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and fried tofu. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a small friendly vibe and a charming terrace that many reviews praise. Service is consistently described as attentive and warm, though there are occasional notes of slower service when busy or portions that feel small for the price. Cocktails receive praise for creativity and balance, but some feedback mentions they can be a little light on alcohol. Overall, Thammada is regarded as a standout Thai option in Montreal with repeat visits and strong recommendations.
Came here for late dinner. We had reserved a table for 4 but they seated us at a a small table for 3. They insisted it was for 4 people, but to me, if a small square table has 3 sides (1 side is against a wall), it's for 3 people. Nonetheless, I found the resto very nice & cozy. Friendly service. I had the Lost in Thailand mocktail. Loved it. We then shared the appetizer platter for 4 (4 flower-shaped dumplings, 4 fried lucky dumplings, a papaya salad & 3 satay chicken skewers). It was ok. Not great. We mostly liked the fried lucky dumplings. Also, it makes no sense to have a platter for 4 with only 3 skewers. For the main dish, we had the Pla Ma-Nao (sea bass) & Kha-Prao Moo (minced pork). It was ok. Not exceptional. For dessert, we had the sticky rice mango which was delicious. In all, nice restaurant but a bit overpriced for what they serve.

Food presentation is amazing. Perfect if you want to post pics on Instagram & such. But that's it unfortunately. Food is bland & NOT worth the money (worth is calculated by taste, quantity, quality, & authenticity). I would suggest Mia Thai or Thai Sep personally!
Really some of the best Thai food in a while. Get the whole tilapia. I think it's called Pla Tord tamarind sauce. It's in the house specials. Phenomenal!! Also a nice place to sit. Service was polite but could be more attentive. Overall pretty solid. Would recommend!!
Thammada's Pad Thai was delicious & the cocktails were good. The atmosphere was a bit too cozy for my liking though as neighbouring tables were too close to ours. But overall a good bet for Thai food lovers.

The restaurant is a cozy place perfect for a date or small group. We were a group of 5 & they accommodated us very well. There was also another group of around 8 people. We started with cocktails, they we absolutely delicious. The entrées were perfect to share. They accommodated very well for my vegetarian friend & for my friend with a severe nut allergy. I had the pad thai & tried the pad sew. Both were absolutely delicious. The prices are a bit steep, but nothing crazy considering inflation. The portions will definitely fill you up. I will honestly be coming back for the pad thai. My friends asked for a birthday dessert for me & the dessert was absolutely perfect. Service wait time was very reasonable. Had a very good experience.
Unfortunatly the pad thai was too mushy & sticky ( have been at the restaurant several times & usually is not like this). Additionally was served cold :(
Belle endroit à connaître . Cuisine très bien travailler . Salade de papaye , rouleaux , pad thai, pad see très bon . Drink happy hour intéressant . On y retourne ? Oui
Nous avons passé un très bon moment au Thammada. La nourriture était très bonne & nous avons retrouvé les saveurs tant appréciées lors de notre voyage en Thaïlande. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
Foods great, atmosphere chill, would have been a five if the kitchen didn’t make a couple of mistakes/delays. But the staff is accommodating & kind 😁. Pad Thai was excellent, Drunken Mama was exceptional & very spicy . Cocktails were on point! If you are in Outremont & craving Thai, I’d recommend checking this place out!
