I am really sad to give this restaurant a rating of 3 & I do it with a heavy heart, but I can't see how service level in our favorite place is getting destroyed by recent changes in staff. I've been ordering here almost every Friday for a year & everything worked like clockwork: the orders were fast, fresh, & accurate. Since recently, some pretentious lazy quebecoise was hired to replace him & since that everything goes off the rails. In our last 4 orders, there was always something wrong about it: lacked an item, entirely someone else's order, lacked chopsticks/soy sauce. Wait times got much longer. St.Valentines day was the worst. We were waiting 2.5 hours for our order while sitting in there. Apparently a part of that time the order was sitting right between me & the cashier who didn't even bother checking. Moreover, when I politely asked her if my order is ready, she was extremely rude to me & yelled at me. Then a colleague of her's approached, checked a few orders & found ours. When we finally arrived at home, we realized that the soup I ordered was missing, a sauce, & chopsticks were missing as well. Today was our last time ordering there as we had to wait again for half an hour because they forgot to cook one item. It's a pity, we really loved ordering here, but I value my time & nerve cells - they are not replaceable.
Les sushis sont frais & délicieux & les prix sont abordables! Mon choix numéro 1! De plus, les sushis sont toujours organisés & placés avec soin. J'ai effectué une grosse commande pour un souper & tout était parfait. C'était prêt à l'heure, c'était frais, la présentation était incroyable & tout le monde s'est régalé!
We decided to try Taiyo Express for sushi since Taiyo Restaurant, just five minutes away, doesn't offer takeout. We went with Combo B (7) for $76.00, which included Cuban maki (8 pcs), Philadelphia maki (8 pcs), Tropical maki (8 pcs), Dragon's Eye maki (8 pcs), Phoenix maki (8 pcs), Taiyo maki (8 pcs), & Hosomaki (12 pcs). The sushi was okay, but honestly, I'm not sure I'd order from here again. It just didn't seem worth the price-barely enough fish to justify the cost.
Below average, the only reason we tried it we thought it was the same as taiyo longueuil, apparently it is different, the salmon didn't have a fresh taste, we ordered the général tao, which qas good, the salmon poke bowl, not good, & a 30 pcs combo, we left more than half untouched, not recommended
