Serving a fine selection of Indian dishes, from mouth watering Tandoori items to delicious vegetarian dishes, including tasty Indian sweets, Restaurant Tabla is sure to please every palate.

Tabla earns frequent praise for traditional Indian flavors, generous portions, and a welcoming, stylish atmosphere that feels intimate yet refined. Guests repeatedly highlight carefully prepared dishes such as butter chicken and korma, the rich presentation, and a menu that offers strong vegetarian options alongside meat dishes, all at reasonable prices with good wine selections. The space has been described as clean and attractive, with comfy banquettes and a cozy terrace that enhances the Village dining experience, while renovations refreshed the decor without losing its warmth. Service is consistently noted as attentive, friendly, and professional, with staff who know the menu and accommodate requests with care. Many reviewers commend value, with multi-course meals or table d'hote options delivering a memorable experience for couples and groups alike. Minor observations about occasional spice variance or post tax pricing exist, but the overall impression is of a dependable Indian dining destination in Montreal that combines excellent food, thoughtful service, and a pleasant, inviting ambiance.
I had dinner last night. I had the combo AA; the butter chicken was just perfect, & the lamb bhuna tasted really great. More than enough food for a couple to spend a nice evening in the village. Will be returning soon 😃
Edit:
Came here with family after a year, & the food is just as good as I remember, if not better. The restaurant also got a makeover - new terrace & dining booth. I would say it's really a fantastic spot to have the village experience
Our server was very kind & it was quiet for dinner time. I had the chicken tikka masala. Good- nothing special. Garlic naan break was also good. There are limited options in the Village for food so if you're craving Indian & you can sit on the patio in the summer this is a good option.
Had a great experience at Tabla, asked for the table d'hôte & was very worth the price. Onion baji was one of the best I had at an Indian restaurant, loved the naan, great butter chicken that came with a side & really enjoyed the small dessert too, would definitely be back for more.
Staff is always so nice & the food is delicious. The portions are very generous, as usually in Indian restaurants. This has been a favorite spot for take outs during the week for the past months.
Edit 2025-02-01 : unfortunately, the quality of the has downgraded dramatically in the last six months, both on delivery & to go options. The butter chicken is so watery & bland, the samosas are half the size they were before, & papadam is always in pieces.

I just had the most amazing experience with Punjabi cuisine! I ordered the thali, & it was absolutely the best; every bite was bursting with flavor! My partner chose the zafrani chicken, & he couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was! It was truly a delightful feast that we both loved!
Used to be my go to for indian food for basically the last 10 years but now they just reduce portions & throw an insane amount of sugar into everithing especially the butter chicken. Last time i ordered it was like eating a birthday cake flavored chicken. I'm done with this restaurant
I had an amazing experience at Tabla Village in Montreal at St. Catherine. The food was incredibly flavorful & authentic, with standout dishes like butter chicken & Chicken tikka. The ambiance was cozy, & the service was top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine in Montreal,Will definitely be back!
Good food, great service. Asked to switch the naan that comes with the main course for one of the specialty naan. Was ready to pay the difference but they refused to charge me for it. Thank you!!! Love their spicy vindaloo & their chicken wings!

I just ordered the Tabla Curry Special with 2 chicken samosas. This was the best meal I've had all week in Montreal. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen
Authentic flavors & warm ambiance make dining at Tabla Village a delightful experience. From classic dishes like butter chicken to flavorful vegetarian options, each bite is a journey through India's rich culinary landscape. Friendly staff & impeccable service add to the overall charm. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine."
Visited just before the closing hours on Saturday night. The chicken biryani is flavourful & worth trying . Personally for me the spice level was mild & they do ask you about the spice level before making it .

I really enjoy eating at Tabla, the food is delicious & the employees are very nice. I recommend the Thali plate for lunch & also the butter chicken which is delicious. The portions are good too. I wish the music was Indian instead of classical. I recommend this restaurant !
