Reviews paint Souvlaki Bar as a warm, welcoming spot with attentive service and a comfortable, homey vibe, where generous portions and good value pair with a menu featuring souvlaki, gyros, salads, and cocktails or mocktails. Food is praised for freshness and flavor, with standout mentions of tender chicken souvlaki, tasty calamari gyro, and satisfying plates that are easy to share; the drinks are described as enjoyable and refreshing. Accessibility and parking are noted positively, and staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, sometimes adding thoughtful touches for birthdays. While several locations deliver consistently, a few comments point to decor or cleanliness varying by branch and occasional longer wait times for takeout or busy periods. Overall, the consensus is that Souvlaki Bar offers a reliable, reasonably priced Greek dining option worth returning to for a casual night out with friends.
Tonight was my third time at this specific location. The service was excellent. The portions are good. The sauce they serve with the fried calamari tastes cheap (yellow mustard mixed with mayo & mayo+ketchup: not very Greek, if you ask me).
We ordered the half chicken plate. The chicken was quite bland; there were barely any spices or garlic or lemon on the skin.
Their salad dressing is disappointing. It's bland & uninteresting (you don't taste that punch from olive oil, garlic, lemon & oregano you usually find in an authentic Greek dressing).
Their rice is usually good, but tonight, it was bland & more like cafeteria rice.
Finally, during a previous visit, I ordered a chicken souvlaki pita & tonight, I asked some tzatziki on the side & I can say without a doubt that there is something off with their tzatziki. I can't put my finger on it, but it is something I make regularly at home & that I ate at other Greek restaurants & theirs doesn't taste good.
This restaurant has great potential, but you can feel some laziness in the kitchen (or maybe in the administration?) because they tend to cut corners & they don't serve authentic Greek food.
EDIT, MARCH 26, 2026: Lately, I ordered the fillet of sole, a dish I had ordered several times before. They ALWAYS served TWO fillets of sole per plate. This time, though, they put ONLY ONE (probably thinking that their customers wouldn't realize it!). On top of that, instead of the mesclun lettuce they usually serve, they had the nerve to make their salad with ICEBERG lettuce!! That was it, for me. Never again. I will spend my money elsewhere.
I enjoyed my dine-in experience at Souvlaki Bar - the service was very friendly & the environment was quite cozy. As for The food, it was excellent & the menu had great variety. The chicken gyro platter is my go-to but everything on the menu is interesting. It was a bit more pricey than my last visit but the portions are well worth it in the end. I would visit again regardless.
We passed by @svkbar for a quick dinner before a night out. A spacious & inviting establishment, we were greeted by the aroma of Greek spices & grilled meats. We ordered the calamari plate, which was a very large portion size, served alongside a refreshing salad & decent fries. The calamari was well-cooked, tender on the inside & crispy on the outside. We also had the grilled octopus, which was well-prepared with a smoky char that added depth. Most of it was good, but it got a little chewy near the thicker part, & we didn't finish it. A restaurant that offers ample seating for guests to enjoy their meals in a comfortable & lively atmosphere. The large bar area boasts an extensive drink menu, making it a decent spot for very large groups & parties.
Souvlaki Bar St. Léonard is a Greek restaurant located next to Galeries d'Anjou. The restaurant is spacious with tall ceilings, giving it an open & airy feel. The food & service are good, making for a pleasant dining experience. Additionally, there's plenty of parking available, which is convenient. Overall, it's a great spot for enjoying Greek cuisine in a comfortable setting.

Superbe endroit. Très belle décoration nous transporte à Santorini. Repas délicieux. Portion généreuse. Service impécable. Acceuil chalereux. Je recommande fortement. Accessible pour les groupes. Service de Bar également.
