La nourriture etait bonne, grande variété de mezzes disponibles.

Le service est bien, sans plus.

Le saumon etait trop sec & pas assaisonné, pareil pour les legumes en accompagnement.

Les desserts pas top non plus.

The food varies from good to just all right, nothing spectacular, it's more about the quantity then the quality unfortunately.

The waiters were doing their best (we were part of a big group) but their manager was such a pain, scold them in front of us customers, ask us for tea/coffee but never brings them... Anyway, the food/experience sure didn't match what we paid for.

I absolutely love this fish resturant ! I come here all the time because the fish is always fresh, high-quality, & delicious. The selection is great, & you can really tell they care about the quality of their products. Definitely one of my favorite places to buy fresh fish. Highly recommended!

Après notre expérience au Solemar Dès notre arrivée, le maître a pratiquement décidé à notre place ce que nous allions manger au lieu de prendre le temps de nous écouter & de répondre à nos questions. Ce n'est pas le type de service auquel on s'attend dans un restaurant de cette gamme.
Les prix sont extrêmement élevés &, pour une facture d'environ 500 $, nous nous attendions à une expérience exceptionnelle du début à la fin. Malheureusement,
Le plus inquiétant est qu'après avoir quitté le restaurant, mon conjoint s'est senti très mal & a vomi toute la nourriture qu'il avait mangée. Nous ne pouvons pas affirmer avec certitude que cela était lié au repas, mais cela a rendu notre soirée encore plus désagréable.

We were so excited to celebrate my mother-in-law's 60th birthday at Solemer. We have been loyal customers of the fish market for years & regularly purchase food from there, which is why we chose the restaurant for such an important family celebration. Family members travelled from Toronto, Ottawa, & other cities to be with us, making the occasion even more special.
Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

When we booked, we were promised a specific set menu & two different types of fish. On the day of the event, we were given a completely different menu that included neither of the promised fish options. Instead, we were served siyadiye(rice & fish). One of the main reasons we chose Solemer was to enjoy a seafood meal, so this was a major disappointment.

We also made it very clear several times before the event that our children (ages 2, 3, & 5) would be sharing their parents' meals. Despite this, we were charged $28 per child for kids' meals that we never requested. This has never happened to us at any restaurant in Montreal.

What made the experience even more disappointing was how the situation was handled. The manager, approached our young children directly to tell them to stop playing, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Rather than speaking to us as the parents, he chose to address the children himself. Had he simply spoken to us, we would have immediately asked our children to settle down.

We expected much better communication & professionalism, especially after trusting Solemer with such an important family celebration. It is unfortunate that our mother's 60th birthday was overshadowed by broken promises, unexpected charges, & poor customer service. Sadly, neither my family nor I plan to return, & we cannot recommend Solemer based on this experience.

We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience for our wedding. A huge thank you to Crystele & the entire Solémer team for the incredible service from start to finish.

The cocktail reception was an absolute hit. Every canapé was delicious, beautifully presented, & our guests are still talking about them days later. We received so many compliments on the food, & I'm certain several of our guests will be reaching out to Solémer for their own events.

Beyond the amazing food, the team was incredibly patient, responsive, & helpful throughout the entire planning process. Their professionalism made everything so easy & stress-free.

Thank you again for helping make our wedding so memorable. If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I absolutely would!
