About

Snowdon Déli establishes a reputation for authentic Montreal-style smoked meat through traditional preparation methods and careful seasoning. The menu centers on thick-cut, hand-sliced beef brisket stacked high on rye bread with classic yellow mustard. Beyond the signature sandwiches, the kitchen produces house-made specialties like poutine, crispy golden fries, and various deli-style salads. The interior features a functional, no-frills aesthetic that prioritizes efficiency and a focus on the food itself. Patrons encounter a bustling environment where the emphasis remains on consistent quality and the generous portions of cured meats. This institution maintains a commitment to time-honored techniques that define local culinary traditions. A Montreal institution for 80 years. What's more to say but that we've been going there for decades.

Would love to try but $26 without tip for a smoked meat sandwich seems outlandish.

UPDATE: I tried it, multiple times now, & love it.

Great smoked meat. Came here for the 1st time, yummy. Loud atmosphere, very busy at lunch! I will come back!! Luckily found parking on the street, had to walk a bit, but not too far (1 block).

Forget Schwartz's & come here. Traditional Montreal smoked meat, fries & a pickle. Who would want anything else?

Overpriced food, small portions, & everything is sold separately - honestly, there's no value here. The service was disappointing, & to make it worse, the owner was yelling at staff while customers were trying to eat. Not the kind of atmosphere you want when you're paying restaurant prices
