Literally One (1) of the Best Deli's in North America; holding to the traditions of the brothers who founded it. Smoked Meat unlike what you can find in any other cities spawned the term "Montreal Smoked Meat". Spicier than Pastrami & offered in three (3) different cuts with Lean & Regular most popular. Traditional Sides are offered & for those diners who wish to partake of non-meat products, their assorted salad offerings are served on a platter & are enough for two to share. Never a disappointment & arrive early for lunch to avoid a wait... or frequent their take-out counter than is also always busy.
Best Smoke meat in Montreal... way better than Schwartz, no doubt...Great to have a great authentic delicatessen menu. Old school ambiance , lovely staff, makes you feel like you're in New York in the 1960's, i love everything about this place.. edit: it's getting worse & way too pricey.
Phenomenal experience! We were a huge group & not only was the service flawless, the waitresses were so kind & lovely. Delicious comfort food with an extensive menu (great for vegetarians as well). Couldn't recommend this place enough :)
Nice atmosphere. Service was good. Food arrived relatively quickly for such a busy place. The food was just passable. Fries were not good. Bread was great but meat was dry. Portions were on the small side Dessert was bland. That said I could see there were a lot of happy regulars & it may be I just ordered the wrong things

Snowdon Deli which is situated on Decarie Boulevard is in my opinion is a real old fashioned delicatessen which is very rare in Montreal nowadays. My wife & I needed our smoked meat fix & decided to visit this Montreal institution for a Smoked Meat on rye. The sandwiches that were served were hot, juicy, & absolutely delicious thus satisfying our craving completely. If you are a Smoked Meat addict then this is the perfect place to stop by.
Best smoked meat in Montreal. The debate will go on, but that's where I stand. The fixings are great as well. Don't forget the club roll, karnatzel, kreplach & holishkes. Get a pound a smoked turkey on your way out!
