I have a crash on soup dumplings & tried Sammi for lunch for the first time. Result: the Best dumplings I ever tried. Juicy & flavorful. Had pork & lamb. Highly recommend & will definitely return.
I wasn't too crazy about soup dumplings until I came here, sooooo good! Just wish they had more options with coriander but that's just a personal preference.

Ordered lamb & coriander dumplings. It took about 10 minutes before staff took my order. Another family of 4 arrived shortly after me & they had to call attention to be served as well. The dumplings were plain looking, like they were just turned out of the pan onto the plate, there was even some type of thin wispy tasteless crust holding them together. Taste was not spectacular, but passable. I was not asked if I wanted a drink, & what I originally wanted (chef special) was not available due to no sauce ( Wasabi, ketchup...etc) & a second choice was also not available yet either.
I love this restaurant. I've always been to the shop in downtown but i'm so happy that they opened a restaurant in west island. Best place to eat dumplings. 🥟 But i wish the waiters could speak english or french

Cute, very casual locale, giving fast food restaurant vibes. I went for the very first time as this is my daughters' go-to dumpling place. I admit that the soup dumplings, were mouthwatering (literally) & delicious! You order the stuffing of your choice, & they are each filled with a broth, so that when you pop the dumpling into your mouth (you have to put the entire dumpling in) & bite down, you experience an explosion of flavours - so satisfying & so very delicious. They also offer fried dumplings that I did not have, but I believe those are more dry & do not contain the said broth so the bite is likely less exciting 🙂. Their specialty is dumplings, so the majority of the menu is just that. They do have appetizers - we had the spicy cucumber (also excellent) & peanut butter noodles (very good flavour but they are served cold which is not my preference). We were a group of 11 & I have to say the service was great, very little wait time. In fact, it took us longer to make our choices then it was to get served. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you are able to see the employees at work should you wish to - this is a positive for me. The staff is very friendly, not only the waitress, but the workers in the kitchen would look over & smile from time to time. They were even kind enough to allow us to bring our own birthday cake & kept it in the fridge for us. I definitely recommend & will be going back more often (maybe even try a different location as they have a few)! **a couple of vegan options available**
So happy I don't need to go all the way downtown for my favorite soup dumplings anymore! The West Island location is spacious & clean, with the same great dumplings & service that you get downtown. A great place to go with friends! My go-to is the pork, shrimp & scallop steamed dumplings, but everything on the menu is tasty. 🥟😋
We often like going to Downtown which is rare for West Islanders just to go Downtown for no reason. We love walking. & often we end up at their Downtown location to have supper before returning back to West Island. In Downtown there are few like them. Now that they opened this location in West Island, no one has any excuse not to try their fresh made on the spot dumplings. We went last night. It was fine. Nice service.

Belle expérience au Sammi & Soupe Dumpling. C'était la première fois pour moi & je vais y retourner. Bonne qualité de dumpling & j'ai bien aimé la petite soupe en entrée. Super pour aller en gang, plaisirs à partager! Ambiance un peu froide par contre, mais service correct.
Food is just as amazing as downtown, service is great. The interior is nice, but it does lose a little bit of its charm from the downtown location. Will be back again & again.
Beau restaurant, Bon service, endroit agréable. Les dumplings 🥟 sont très bon & de qualités! Très goûteux! Bravo à toute l'équipe. En ce moment, il n'y a pas d'alcool mais j'ai cru comprendre que leur permis d'alcool était en cours!
