I had an event in which I needed a really good cake, so I selected this place solely based on the review score of 4.5 out of 5. Getting to the place, it's a pretty small hole-in-the-wall shop, & the cake prices were pretty high at $40+tax for a medium cake.
But sure , I needed something good & with this price & the high score, I couldn't go wrong.. right? Well..... Let's just say I'm still scratching my head, trying to understand either the $40 or the 4.5!
First of all, the cake doesn't really look that good. For this price, you expect something that not only tastes amazing but also bewilder the eyes. But the red velvet I bought just looked like a white round heap with some sprinkles on top of an aluminum tray. Extremely simple. But hey, looks are deceptive. Maybe in its simplicity, something really authentic & genuine is hidden. My impression was the opposite. The cake part wasn't bad but wasn't $40 good either. The filling was pretty meh also! But the worst was the icing, like you were chewing pure sugar. Like a cheap kids' birthday cake. Very artificial. Maybe that's the Canadian taste? I don't know. I say this because the icing also reminded me of the snack cakes you can buy at depanneurs, like jos louis & others, that canadians love, & to me, taste terrible. Very artificial. So, maybe all the other reviews are not wrong. Maybe it's just not for me. To me, this is a cheap $15 kids birthday cake you'd buy at a supermarket because you are out of time. Not an expensive premium $40 adult cake.
On the plus side, the staff was VERY friendly, & the black cardboard box the cake comes in is pretty cool.View more

A rockaberry in brossard, what more can you want. They got all the cakes & slices, you either go there the day of or you can even pre-order on the website. No place to sit as it's like a take-out counter but its fast & efficient. I've bought cakes from this place 5 times already & they were always in stock.View more

I went couple different Rockaberry store in Montreal, the cake is good & the service is excellent. But my experience in Brossard store was so disappointing. When I walked into the store, the cashier is playing with his tablet, when he notice me then just said bonjour then continue his tablet. When I ask him about what they have for full cake, he just told me whatever is in the display & that's it, again he went back to his tablet. Well... ok I order full cake & he make me pay & he back to his tablet. When I ask him for my receipt, he only give me the credit card receipt no receipt for the original one with price & taxes, then of cause he back to his phone or tablet. Bad experience... I don't think I'll go back to Brossard store, I whether drive to Montréal. PS: the cake is still good as other locations, only the service is suck.View more

I was in & out very quickly. You can get individual slices or an entire cake. The staff was friendly & spoke both French & English & there was a large variety of cakes. I love Rockaberry & am so happy we have it available in Brossard.View more

Hello I would like to take the time to say thank you for the amazing service I received. My pie was so fresh, it was a Strawberry short cake. This pie melts in your mouth, & it’s so tasty. It is the 3rd time I go to this place. The man was so kind & friendly, he was so nice & didn’t make me wait long & made sure I got my pie quick. So go get your pie at Rockaberry! They have all kinds of flavours, & fits every occasion! Great service! Thanks Rockaberry! You guys do a fabulous job!

Wow the strawberry shortcake is so so good! Also really generous size! Was very easy to order, I'm not buying my cakes anywhere else now. Edit 2023 : the cakes are smaller! The size was significantly reduced- don't feel like this small cake is worth 36$, won't be back!View more
