Restaurant Noraka is widely regarded as an exceptional kosher dining destination that offers a sophisticated atmosphere, elegant presentation, and consistently high-quality Asian cuisine. Patrons frequently highlight the fresh, original, and flavorful dishes, with many noting that the sushi and various entrees rival top-tier restaurants regardless of dietary restrictions. While most feedback emphasizes the professional, attentive, and welcoming service, the overall consensus points to an elevated dining experience that is well-suited for both family gatherings and business lunches at fair price points.
Rude staff, short little waiter was rude to my pregnant wife in front of my kid multiple times & didn't come to check on us during the dinner, didn't bring water,
Then argued about his tip then started throwing stuff around, throwing forks & plates & said next time we come he won't serve me because he didn't like the tip.
Note that's after the 18% automatic tip.
Why would I double tip for being rude sir?
Do you want me to leave a 50% tip?
Small portions. I would not recommend this place, next time I would go to either of the other kosher Chinese places, they are both better tasting food bigger portions, & friendly.
I can't believe I didn't know about this hidden gem sooner. I was there for dinner on a Sunday & the experience was incredible - if you keep kosher, this place is an absolute must try. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt elevated. The white linen table settings, & classy atmosphere immediately stood out. The music created the perfect vibe, & the entire restaurant was calm, elegant, & very clean. & the food? Absolutely fantastic. Everything tasted fresh, every sauce was perfectly balanced, & every dish was prepared with care & skill. The prices are also very fair for the quality you receive. What really stands out is that this place is run like a true professional restaurant. So many kosher spots in Montreal are not run this way, but here every detail matters - from the service to the presentation to the overall dining experience. The staff was attentive & the service throughout the evening was impeccable. This will become my go-to restaurant. The best part is that it just happens to be kosher, it easily competes with any excellent restaurant, kosher or not. I highly recommend visiting.
Delicious food & great service. I've had a lot of Thai food & this is one of the best Thai food restaurants in Montreal. Plus it's kosher which is such a treat! I love this place! Delicious south Asian food & kosher meat restaurant. Lots of vegetarian options as well. There's something for everyone! (Actually kosher not kosher style). Filling, a good price for the large portions. Excellent for tourists & visitors alike. Near Namur station. Walkable from the train. Great ambiance as well. Fast & friendly service

Upscale kosher dining in Montreal, with excellent service & exploring Asian cuisine with the community. Having had Asian food in many other places, I would say the flavors were good but not authentic to what they should be. Pad Thai was covered in Soy Sauce rather than Peanut Sauce, the Miso Soup tasted more like a consommé & had no soy sauce / nori flavor.
This restaurant is INCREDIBLE! If you keep Kosher, this is a must try. Every dish we ordered was at the highest quality & taste. Our server, David, was extremely sweet & attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Montreal area.
I took a group from work. They came not expecting that this was a kosher restaurant & they were very pleased with the food, both presentation & taste, as well as the service & the ambiance. Lunch for four with wine came out to $175 with taxes & tip. Definitely recommend for fancy & casual lunch or supper.
Was there august 2023 the food was shortage & waited so long. They had no chicken early Sunday night & had to go to store. When it was served was tasteless. Very disappointed. The owner gave us free meals. What a disappointment for a kosher restaurant
