We ate at your restaurant on Saturday June 28th 2025 at 5pm for our anniversary. What should have been exceptional became ugly with the behaviour of supporting staff.
The good:
Our server Nikola from Verdun QC was exceptional. He knew exactly when to ask & when to give us space. The food was fantastic especially the veal ravioli, the mushroom risotto, the tuscan bread & the foie gras with cherries. Little details were taken care of--& we noticed. We also give a nod to the man in the colourful suit. He really made us feel well taken care of. & it was almost our new favourite restaurant.
But....
The ugly:
Like smelling wine with the foul scent of cheap cologne in the background, a minor issue can ruin the experience.
Two younger servers, who barely attended our table, one with curly hair & one with a goatee, ruined the night. My girlfriend is Korean & quite stunning. I can tolerate an occasional secret glance from staff. But it is the limits of professional behaviour. Now, outright starring makes one uncomfortable at the least but really comes off as creepy.
She was facing the back, i was facing the front. On her way to the washroom, for them to stare further & whisper things like'Asian' this & that. Well it is enough to get'cancelled' in today's environment. Not wanting to ruin our night, it did not come to my attention until after we left. But now that i know, i must respond.
How a perfect 5 star restaurant lead by our server amazing server Nikola & exceptional food, can be ruined by racist & creepy servers in the background is beyond me. I implore management to take action before a human rights violation for racism & sexism is filed by another customer not as forgiving as me.
I must rate this restaurant 5* because from the moment we entered until the moment we left, we were treated with so much class & respect.
The server Matthias & manager seemed very interested that we were happy.
The food was amazing portions as well as every dish cooked to perfection.
My husband's favourite was the Osso Bucco & I found the veal chop delicious!
We will definitely return again.

Amazing experience tonight! Made our special occasion even more special. I had a vegetarian risotto & my partner had the veal shank, & we shared a beet salad. Everything was delicious & service was great! Thank you so much:)
This new restaurant is a GEM! The food is amazing, the presentation & the taste are high-end as only a world-class chef can prepare! The decor is trendy but simple, open-style kitchen & nice bar. The service is as close to impeccable as you can get. I've already been there twice, I had Osso Bucco like I've never had before, fall off the bone & melts in your mouth, Linguini frutti di mare, Lobster tail on top with shrimp & scallops, OMG! Other plates at my table, Rack of Lamb, Veal Chop, Giant shrimps stuffed with Alaskan king crab, & all this not to mention the delicious appetizers. Everyone was impressed! A MUST try Mediterranean/Steakhouse hotspot. Will become the Best in Little Italy for sure! Bellissimo!
The food , staff & service were excellent. My husband & I each started with a salad beet & pear..very fresh & flavorful . We ordered the Chefs specialties ( Veal & Lamb dishes.. delicious! ) . We ended our meal with the cream brûlée & a chocolate dessert. Should we ever visit Montreal again, we will definitely dine at L'OSSO.. thank you Sam for the excellent service !
Had a delightful Valentine's Day evening at L'Osso & will be sure to re-visit. Located on St. Laurent Blvd, in Little Italy just south of Jean Talon, L'Osso has a much more urbane & modern-esque look & feel than a typical Italian restaurant, especially of those in the area. The menu was Prix Fixe(given the holiday dinner) so we each had three well-portioned courses. We started the meal with a complimentary plate of spicy pepperoni (or similar meat), olives & bruschetta followed by Seared Ahi Tuna & Burrata with Tomatoes & Avocado (both dishes were excellent). The main was Salmon with Mushrooms & Braised Veal with Mashed Potatoes (also both were excellent, extremely flavorful) & ending with the Pistachio Fondant & Raspberry Chocolate Mousse (once again, excellent). Really had an enjoyable time...with good service, good food & a truly wonderful locale. Certainly worth a visit. Enjoy!

My wife & I recently dined at L'Osso, a new jewel nestled in the heart of Little Italy. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by an ambiance that seamlessly combined elegance with warmth. The atmosphere is lively, without being loud. We felt immediately welcomed. To kick off, cocktails were crafted with precision & creativity. L'Osso also features a great selection of wines without being overwhelming. There is something to offer for every budget & palate. We then indulged in the burrata appetizer - the creamy center of the burrata paired beautifully with the burst of flavor from the pata negra cured ham. The pan-seared scallops were expertly cooked, allowing the natural shellfish sweetness to come through. The highlight of the evening was the melt-in-your-mouth osso buco. The tender, succulent veal shank was a testament to the chef's mastery. Braised to perfection, the meat effortlessly fell off the bone delivering an explosion of rich, savory flavors. The accompanying risotto was both flavourful & perfectly al dente, elevating the dish to the next level. Last, but not least, we received excellent service. Our sever, Sam, was attentive & friendly, which added an extra layer of warmth to a lovely date-night. Highly recommended! Tony M.
