Stayed at the Hotel Newstar & Josephs was right inside. Although not impressed with the hotel itself, Josephs was by far a true hidden gem. The food was amazing & their menu was extensive. Breakfast was especially wonderful with the potatoes being out of this world. Even if we don't come back to stay at the hotel, we will be back for Restaurant Joseph for sure.
What great service & food , as going as a big group they made sure everyone was taken care for are weeks stay , you should get out of the hotel & open somewheres else , is my only negative thought on that
Not the most aesthetic looking place but the food, service & prices are incredible. Had the bacon & avocado benny with coffee for only $13. 10/10
Editing to add: we saw someone who had their car stolen overnight in the parking lot, so if you're a hotel guest with a car that's desirable (I.e Honda CRV) it might be a good idea to have your car fob in a signal blocking case. Would hate to see this happening to more people 😔

This is a small family run restaurant. Everything is prepared fresh when you order, just like eating at home. Very convenient for staying at the hotel or if you're in the neighbourhood.

Un petit resto ouvert depuis un peu plus de 1 an où le papa est proprio & cuisinier. Ses 2 filles sont impliquées comme serveuses & sont charmantes.
Un menu varié, une nourriture de qualité à un prix très raisonnable matin, midi & soir.
Ce petit commerce est annexé à l'hôtel New Star à St-Léonard mais on peut s'y rendre sans être client de l'hôtel. Je vous le recommande chaleureusement!

J'ai eu un excellent service pendant 7 mois que j'ai habité à l'hôtel, la nourriture est fabuleuse que se soit le déjeuner, dîner ou souper. >Très propre & merci à M. Joseph & sa famille la petite soeur & grande soeur. A l'écoute de mes besoins soit pour un cup de mayonnaise ou un surplus de vinaigrette!!! Je recommande à 100%

It's my first time in Montreal, & I really appreciated having a restaurant right in the hotel - especially since I didn't want to go far in the cold. This place is awesome! Abisha provided excellent service - such a kind & genuine person. The food was delicious & came quickly, & I absolutely loved the coffee. I'll definitely be back!

Quelle merveilleuse découverte ! On ne croirait pas, en voyant ce restaurant caché dans un hôtel, que la nourriture serait d'une si bonne qualité, & pour un prix plus que convenable. La serveuse Ackshaija est tellement gentille & nous a donné un service attentionné. Le restaurant appartient à son père, qui prépare tous les mets ici d'ailleurs. Cela paraît que ce restaurant est géré avec amour & passion. Je recommande totalement.
