Review Summary

Overall, Suzu is described as a hidden gem offering authentic, homey Japanese flavors at approachable prices with attentive staff. Dishes like tonkatsu curry, takoyaki, salmon tartare, and a highly praised tonkatsu ramen are noted for freshness, quality ingredients, and thoughtful presentation, with several diners saying the food reminded them of Kobe. Some critiques mention a pork chop that was overcooked and tasted dry, and a curry that was unusually sour, but the overall experience is described as delicious and satisfying. The place is perceived as closer to high end Japanese dining than a food court, and many say they would return for the consistent taste and warm service. In short, Suzu stands out as a credible choice for authentic Japanese cuisine in Montreal.

The food is fresh, well-prepared, & definitely hits the spot if you're looking for quality Japanese options in the area. Amazing low-key hidden gem in the East of Montreal :)

This place is a lie, this is not food court level of quality. This is closer to high-end Japanese places. I tried the Tonkatsu ramen & this is no doubt one of the top 5 bowls of ramen I've had in Montreal. The meat, the broth & the egg, everything close to perfection.
