Un de mes préférés quand vous avez envie de saveurs asiatiques c'est l'endroit où aller ! En plus ils vendent leur produits donc vous pouvez même repartir avec des rouleaux impériaux & leur sauce pour en manger toute la semaine !

Les soupes, les entrées & les desserts nous ont vraiment bien plu. Dommage que les plats principaux manquaient de cette saveur particulièrement parfumée qui caractérise la cuisine du Cambodge. Le Général Tao façon thaï est trop sucré ce qui efface le goût des épices & le parfum de la citronnelle.

Pour quelqu'un qui passe six mois par année en Asie, Cité d'Angkor à Shawinigan est une grande déception. Il n'y a pratiquement rien d'authentique dans les saveurs. Les plats sont adaptés au goût local & beaucoup trop sucrés, ce qui masque complètement l'équilibre des épices & des ingrédients qu'on retrouve en Asie.

J'espérais retrouver un peu de la nostalgie de mes nombreux séjours en Asie, mais ce ne fut pas le cas. Aucun plat ne m'a rappelé les saveurs que j'apprécie tant. Au final, une expérience décevante qui ne répondra probablement pas aux attentes de ceux qui connaissent bien la cuisine asiatique authentique.
