Qing Hua Dumpling is described as a go-to spot for fresh, flavorful dumplings with favorites like pork and shrimp, chicken coriander, and vegan options such as cabbage and mushroom, all available steamed or pan fried and often enjoyed at a central, convenient location. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, with fast turnover and a welcoming atmosphere that suits quick lunches or relaxed dinners. Dishes are praised for being freshly made and reasonably priced, offering solid value and satisfying portions, though a few reviews note room for improvement in certain items or ambience. Overall, this place feels like a reliable staple for dumplings in Montreal, widely recommended for those seeking variety, quality, and good vibes.
I always get their shrimp, pork, & coriander dumplings to go. This restaurant is quick, clean, & their staff is friendly. The food took about 15 minutes to prepared. This spot is centrally located & perfect for both a quick meal or a slower paced dinne
The staff was nice, but that's really all there is to say about it.
The plates we were given were dirty, & even when we asked for replacements, there was still old sauce residue on the plates because they were so worn.
The food itself was below average. We ordered fried shrimp wontons, beef curry dumplings, & chicken mushroom dumplings.
The fried wontons were tiny & soaked in oil, both on the wontons themselves & on the plate they came on.
The dumplings lacked flavor, especially the beef curry dumplings, which we expected to be more flavorful given how strong curry typically is. The chicken mushroom dumplings were bland, but that's somewhat to be expected.
Overall, I would not come again despite the nice staff.
I recently visited Qing Hua Dumpling in Montreal's Chinatown, & it was an absolute gem! The hospitality was warm & welcoming, with friendly staff making the experience even more enjoyable. The dumplings were phenomenal-freshly made, bursting with flavor, & available in a fantastic variety, from juicy pork & shrimp to delicious vegan options like cabbage & mushroom. The lively atmosphere, filled with happy diners & the hum of excitement, added to the charm of this cozy spot. Whether steamed or pan-fried, every bite was a delight, & the prices were incredibly reasonable for such high quality. Qing Hua Dumpling is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering dumplings in Montreal! Highly recommended.
The food here is awesome. It tastes authentic at least. The lamb with shrimp one is strongly & especially recommended! The servers are communicative & friendly; they've been doing their job nicely & organizing! Been here several times, in a nutshell, lovely
The steamed dumplings are really fragrant & juicy! We got the pork & mushroom, pork & shrimp & coriander, & the pork & coriander. The mixed drinks are at a reasonable price. We got the one with rum, citrus, & green tea syrup ($9 I think). We were so hungry that we ate before the camera did...

No complaints. Delicious dumplings & they prepare them very fast. My go-to dumplings are steamed Shrimp, Chive & Egg & fried Beef & Onion. I love that you can split your order to be half & half of whatever you like. Oh & try the cucumber salad, it's delish. Very kind waitress & good atmosphere.
One of the best Chinese dumplings we have had & the price & portions are reasonable. Probably why this place was packed & we had to wait in line when we came. Wonton is very small in size though & curry beef dumplings are not something we would try again. We used to pork or shrimp dumplings.
Soup dumplings are so good! I had the shrimp & beef ones. I also had peanut butter raviolis & loved them. Great service too, they kept filling our glasses with water.
