samosa(66) indian(60) vegetarian(31) cash(25) price(24) sweet(23) authentic(15) dessert(15) tasty(14) aloo(14) parking(13) family(13)We visited here in 2016. Now we are back in Montreal in 2025, & came here again. Best quality Indian food that tastes like home, & feels light after leaving. The food isn't artificially oily or salty. Feels healthy & fresh!
Food was okay. Considering the price point, can't complain but I'd say there's scope for improvement.
If you're ever in the mood of buying 12 samosas for a whole family, look no further! $10 for 12 at such beautiful taste is a bargain.
I would say, everything is good except... no interact payment. This is my only sticking point. But they do allow you to pay via E-transfer.
One of the best & most affordable places for Indian food in Montreal!
The best samosas in town! Also their shahi paneer is finger licking good!
Best place to eat Indian food
I went this restaurant today i like the service given by the ayush & the owner they treat their customers like a family.
A long-standing institution that continues to welcome & serve its community with its flavorful, affordable & nutritious vegetarian dishes
The aroma of hundreds of fresh samosas fill the airs of dining room & a window display covered in desserts greet you once stepped through the doors of the restaurant. The food is unpretentious & embodies all that is comfort.
Even after ten years, the food remains just as good & heartwarming as the first time I remember having the pleasure to eat it. The palak paneer is deliciously aromatic & earthy. The baingan bharta is lightly spiced & deeply sweet from the slow-cooked onions. The chapati is crispy on the outside, & wonderfully fluffy & chewy on the inside.
Regardless of what you order, I assure you will be well taken care of. Just be mindful that Pushap accepts cash only.
Visited this place on our trip to Montreal. The service was amazing, staff were so polite!
The food was delicious, felt like home.
10/10 recommend for wonderful ambience, competitive prices & delicious food
Tried out the restaurant yesterday with a friend & was pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered tasted amazing. The food was flavorful & the mango lassi was refreshing! Service was impeccable, the man serving us was really helpful. We ordered 2 dishes that had the same sauce base without knowing & he modified one of them slightly so we're not eating the same thing. Will definitely be going back!
As someone who has reviewed some of the best & expensive Indian restos in MTL, Pushap gets my seal of approval. They have the best samosas on the island imo. They only cost like 8$ for a dozen, totally great price. Everyone knows this place for their samosas. They also have sweets & you can sit at the restaurant & try some indian cuisine. Their food is also really good for the price you pay, which is very cheap for all the food you get. Totally worth eating here, their Thali's & everything is really good. Only downside is the resto size, they need to expand their restaurant, they barely have space for a semi big line. It is not good. Heads up only accept debit &/or cash but if you do on Uber Eats you can pay by credit card too.
