Review Summary

Pushap is a beloved Montreal institution known for its authentic, flavorful, and incredibly affordable vegetarian Indian cuisine. Many patrons appreciate the consistent, home-style quality of the dishes, particularly the popular thali, samosas, pakoras, and various Indian sweets. The atmosphere is frequently described as warm, welcoming, and unpretentious, with many loyal customers returning for years due to the friendly service and generous portions. While some diners note that the restaurant is a cash-only establishment and lacks a modern aesthetic or easy parking, the exceptional value and comfort-food experience make it a highly recommended hidden gem in the city.

Aloo Paratha was good. Samosa was okay.

They don't accept card payment.
Carry cash as this place accepts only cash.

Exceptional food at incredibly reasonable prices a rare find in today's economy. I've been coming here since childhood, & what truly sets Pushap apart is their consistency; the recipes haven't changed, & every bite still brings that same comfort & nostalgia.
The samosas are simply the best, the puri is perfectly light & fluffy, & the chana masala is always spot-on with its balance of spice & seasoning. Even writing about it makes my mouth water.

There almost always a free table to sit down, & you're served within a few minutes at most if they're busy, or pretty much instantly otherwise. Service is courteous & friendly, & the food is really good. The thali dish on its own is plentiful enough for a good meal, & for less than $15 it's quite the bargain.

You can also pick up samosas for cheap on your way out, so really worth it.

Only samosa is good but other meals/dishes are so less spice that it didn't taste any good for me..
