The kitchen prioritizes classic techniques to produce staple items such as golden, beer-battered fish and chips paired with thick-cut fries and house-made tartar sauce. Guests encounter a straightforward menu that emphasizes comfort dishes alongside a selection of international and local draught beers. The interior design reflects an enduring pub aesthetic characterized by dark wood finishes and functional, communal seating arrangements designed for efficient service. This venue functions as a primary destination for those seeking robust, straightforward food in a classic social environment. Every preparation maintains consistency, ensuring that the integrity of traditional recipe standards remains at the forefront of the culinary operations throughout each service period.
Pub Victoria is widely appreciated for its welcoming atmosphere, especially its charming outdoor terrace and rustic courtyard which provide a perfect setting for relaxing with a drink. Visitors consistently highlight the excellent and attentive service provided by the staff, making it a reliable spot for both locals and tourists looking for a comfortable environment. The menu features satisfying comfort food, with the poutine and fish and chips being particularly popular choices among guests. While the location can become lively and occasionally noisy, it remains a highly regarded choice for its reasonable pricing, diverse beer selection, and overall convivial vibe that makes it a go-to destination in the neighborhood.
As soon as I got in, I could sense his rudeness, my friends were already seated in a group & when he asked me why I was there I mentioned that a group of friends are there & his reply was' I don't have a group' are you kidding me ? 16 people were seated.. anyway racist behaviour on your end !

?If you find yourself in Montreal & feel the sudden, inexplicable urge to punish your arteries, Pub Victoria is the place to do it. I arrived as a confused tourist & left as a man who has seen the face of Canadian culinary madness-& liked it.
?I ordered the Poutine, a dish that looks like a high-speed collision between a potato farm & a dairy factory. It's a heap of fries smothered in a gravy so thick it could probably be used as engine oil, topped with'squeaky cheese' that sounds like a frantic mouse every time you take a bite. There were chunks of meat involved, too. I have no earthly idea if this is how it's supposed to look or taste, but it was, frankly, delicious.
?Wash it all down with a Guinness, & you have the perfect'working lunch.' By which I mean, you will be utterly incapable of doing any actual work for the rest of the day. It's heavy, it's messy, & it's magnificent.
Best tap beer in the neighborhood with plenty of choices. The service is always impeccable. The food is good & well executed, but nothing is homemade.'
