Fast food but on the healthier side.
I like that you several choices to create your meal to your liking.
It's rather affordable compared to other fast food restaurants.
The meal was a lot more filling than I would have thought. Ate everything around 1pm & didn't feel the need to eat in the evening. Probably because it still has lots of calories.
Tiny bits of the chicken were a bit burned but meal was good.

I ordered a chicken bowl at Poulet Rouge & somehow left both hungry & confused.

Let's start with the portions… or should I say samples. I've seen more generous servings at a free Costco tasting booth. I asked for chicken & got what looked like it lost a fight with the scoop. The rice was playing hide & seek at the bottom, & I'm pretty sure the vegetables were there just for emotional support.

Now the chicken itself? I don't know what it went through, but it seemed just as tired as the employee serving it.

Speaking of service - I felt like I was inconveniencing them by existing. No smile, no'hello,' just pure'please finish ordering so I can continue questioning my life choices' energy. I've had warmer interactions with self-checkout machines.

& the best part? Paying full price for this experience. Honestly impressive.

1 star because the fork was decent quality & didn't snap under pressure. Would I go back? Only if I lose a bet.

I think my chicken had a worse day than I did - dry, lifeless, & completely unseasoned. The rice? I've had more flavor chewing gum. Portions were so small I thought it was a sample. Staff looked like they'd rather be anywhere else, & honestly, after eating there… same.

I had a very disappointing experience at Poulet Rouge. The food quality was far below expectations - the chicken was dry & lacked flavor, & the rice felt overcooked & bland. The vegetables didn't seem fresh, & overall the meal just didn't taste like it was made with care.

On top of that, the service was slow & unorganized. Staff didn't seem attentive, & the place itself wasn't as clean as it should be. For the price you pay, you'd expect much better quality & professionalism.

Definitely not worth it. I won't be coming back.

Once upon a time, the portions were amazing. I guess now they have a their clientele they don't really care anymore. But the ingredients are almost nonexistent. Two people for chicken bowl is a little over $40. & 90% is rice or quinoa whatever you choose & 10% are ingredients. They put one little scoop of everything. The chickens are the size of my little pinky finger. After eating your starving 15 minutes later. I guess the Trump tariffs came into effect with this place. it. It's really not worth the money for what you get.

This particular location has very little atmosphere as it's located in the food court of les galeries d'anjou, so don't take that as a negative against the restaurant itself. For the food, the veggies are always fresh crunchy, the sauces are each unique & tasty & the bases are a good addition. However, quite often the chicken is over cooked & on the dry, tough side, rather than tender. The sauces used to flavour the chicken are hit & miss as far as actually being able to taste the differences between them. On the upside, the service is always quick & efficient. When there's a queue, you won't be waiting long.

I've ordered from Poulet Rouge hundreds of times over the years, but lately the chicken's been dry & the portions feel smaller . mostly rice with fewer veggies & toppings. It was good while it lasted.
