For generations our family recipes have been kept in the family. Every Sunday was pasta day at Nonna's house. Our Mama, her sisters and Nonna would make homemade pasta, sauces and polpettes (which are meatballs in case your Italian is a little rusty). It was always considered a cheerful occasion.
Today, at Piatti Pronti we share those great times and secret recipes with you. The only change is you don't have to wait until Sunday like we did. We would be honored if you would join us at our table because our table is your table.
Piatti Pronti offers a classic neighborhood atmosphere that frequently transitions into a lively, celebratory environment, often complemented by live music and a warm, welcoming personality. Guests consistently praise the authentic Italian cuisine, highlighting fresh ingredients and well-prepared pasta dishes as standout elements of the experience. The service is frequently noted for being professional, attentive, and accommodating, making the restaurant a popular choice for both casual dinners and special group events. While experiences can vary, the overall sentiment reflects a high appreciation for the quality of food, the festive energy, and the personal touch provided by the team, solidifying its reputation as a reliable and enjoyable destination in Laval.
What a great place, the food was amazing, our waiter Ivan gave us amazing service, we came late since we had a busy day & even before closing he had no problem with remaking a plate for us'not the restaurants fault it was ours for not specifying that we like our pasta well done', the coffee & dessert were also amazing, I had never heard of this place but i'm happy we chose it tonight, thank you again to our waiter Ivan!
Went on a Friday night & the atmosphere was lively from the moment we walked in. There was live music, a birthday celebration dancing, & the owner personally serving tables, which made it feel welcoming & festive.
We shared calamari, meatballs, burrata & salmon tartare, then ordered aglio e olio, pomodoro & a Mediterranea pizza. The simple pasta sauces were well prepared & satisfying.
This is not a trendy downtown Italian spot. It feels like a classic neighborhood restaurant where dinner can easily turn into a celebration. Great option in Laval if you're looking for live music & a fun atmosphere.
I went to Piatti Pronti for a Friday night Galentine's dinner with my friends Farzy, Sarah, Steph & it ended up being way more fun than we expected.
From the moment we walked in, the energy felt lively… almost like stepping into an Italian family reunion. There's a signed Céline Dion photo at the entrance, which already tells you this is not going to be a quiet, minimalist dinner spot. It has big personality & it embraces it.
We were served by Rocco, the owner, which made the experience feel personal & welcoming from the start. Throughout the night, a live performer named Giorgio sang everything from Lady Gaga to classic oldies. He was genuinely sweet & knew how to read the room. At one point, a large birthday table was pulled up to dance multiple times, & the whole restaurant felt like it was part of the celebration. It turned dinner into an experience.
For entrées, we shared the calamari, meatballs, burrata & salmon tartare. Everything was great for sharing. The burrata was fresh & creamy, the meatballs were comforting & saucy, & the calamari was a solid way to start the night.
For mains, we ordered the aglio e olio & pomodoro pastas, along with the Mediterranea pizza. I always think simple sauces say a lot about a kitchen, & both pastas were well prepared & satisfying. Steph & I shared a bottle of red wine & also tasted a few cocktails, which made it feel like a full Friday night out rather than just a quick dinner.
This is not a trendy downtown Italian restaurant. It feels like a classic neighborhood spot where dinner can easily turn into a celebration. If you're looking for good food, live music & a fun, energetic atmosphere in Laval, this is a great option.

I took my mom to Piatti Pronti for Mother's Day, & it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, & full of charm - the perfect mix of elegance & comfort.
The staff made us feel genuinely welcome & went out of their way to make the day special for my mom. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive without being intrusive, & had great recommendations that turned out to be spot on.
Now the food… wow. Every dish was bursting with flavor - from the homemade pasta that melted in our mouths to the perfectly balanced sauces & fresh, vibrant ingredients. My mom had the shrimp/pasta olio. I had the lamb, & it was cooked to absolute perfection - fresh, light, & so satisfying.
We finished the meal with a classic tiramisu that tasted like it came straight out of a Roman café.
Truly, Piatti Pronti made this Mother's Day one to remember. We left full, happy, & already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommend!
Too expensive for what you get. The food is good but not exceptional. I ordered the veal parmigiana but received chicken instead... was told veal & chicken was the same price. So I paid 40$ for chicken with a bit of pasta on the side. Disappointing. I was offered dessert as comp but even then the dessert was also very ordinary.
On our first visit almost eight years ago, we were impressed by the calm ambience & reasonable prices. Yesterday, we were happy to discover that you've preserved these winning ingredients. You clearly take your profession seriously with so many attributes such as a relaxing decor & a spotlessly clean establishment. The pasta was served piping hot but the veal liver was more sinewy than I expected. We look forward to returning soon.
Portions on the small side & very overpriced. I was with a large group & most had the same opinion. They need to refine their sauces as they are not great & the pastas they use are definitely frozen prior to cooking. At these prices, you would expect freshly made or freshly delivered to them. The decor is awful.
Food was meh. Shockingly overpriced for dishes that didn't cost much to make & that I could have easily made better. Every dish we tried from the Caesar that was less tasty then the one I buy in the bagged kit at Loblaws. The veal parmigiana to the lemon pasta just tastes like it was a bunch of cheap ingredients tossed together without any thought out towards the spices. The restaurant atmosphere & art was bland. I will, however, give the serving staff 5 stars. They were friendly, smiling & engaging. Sorry I didn't think to take any pics because I wasn't inspired to finish my meal. Perhaps I should have. Kudos to the friendly servers though!
